Of course you have a method of proving your claim.  Simply get in the rear of your son's 2007 Portuguese-plated Megane, with your son in the driving seat, and a photo will demonstrate whether your assertion stacks up.

I have this way and another way.  I simply need to get my next visitor to conduct the experiment for himself/herself on our Megane to confirm the results.

Indeed anyone with access to a LHD Megane of roughly similar age can verify for themselves that the McCanns would have been capable of reading such a speedo.

By the way, if you have gotten bored of this exchange, all you have to do is stop.  I have no intention of letting your misinformation stand, and frankly, I have an enormous appetite for correcting such erroneous information, because I consider the truth to be important.  Therefore as long as you continue to peddle speculation, I will continue to post fact.

And I will continue to watch what you say.  Although I can't say that I really care.

I am, however, very fed up with the continued attacks on Davel.

Do any of you seriously think that I can't see this?

I haven't had very much to say for quite some time, but enough is enough.

I don't understand what this is all about, other than to suggest that Kate was lying, which would hardly be relevant any way.

How would this make Kate McCann culpable?.

What is any of this shit offering to The Forum?
Please do not venture into the lying arena.  No one has suggested for a second that Kate is lying.

However, you are the third supporter to equate this to a Kate-is-lying narrative, whilst no-one who is neutral or anti has made such an equation.

What 'this shit' offers to the forum is the truth.  Not Kate's version of the truth.  Not davel's version of the truth.  Not my version of the truth.  Simply the truth.

Any forum member can test this truth out for themselves on a Friday night around 7.30pm on the N125, sometime near to 3 May.  Try 120kph or 200kph, because it matters not a jot.  The member should provide in advance for all contingencies related to corpse repatriation, burial or funeral, because this dimwit is not going to survive.  This member should also make provision in advance for the body or bodies they wipe out in the oncoming traffic to be dealt with.
What's up, old man?

If its importannt to you then you can post such a photograph...go ahead

you dont realise you have posted nothing but speculation and opinion...you dont even know that the car was a megane...do you realise that..

you cannot prove Kate could see the speedo
you cannot prove they were on the A22
those are the true facts which you cannot counter

Can we drop this bickering.

Kate says a speed.

SiL says she could see the speedo.

Davel says she couldn't so it must have been a guess.

What difference does it make?

Oh, right.  Simply the truth.  In whose opinion?

If opinion is involved it isn't truth.

I have suggested we stop...I have my opinion and sil has hers...she refuses to leave it there...it seems we have to accept her opinion as the truth

Neither is known truth so it matters not. The car was in a certain place doing a certain speed but we don't know those facts.

Exactly.  You might think that you are dealing with an idiot, but you aren't.  There is no truth.

This is what I have said in relation to the thread...no one knows the truth...its all speculation...and thats where it should end

your post that we dont know what the speed was and where the car was supports my position...sil insists it was on the A22 ...as you say we simply dont know...as I have posted

Posts 411 and 416 suggest otherwise.

Anyway enough.

I might be wrong but wasn't the whole point of the thread to highlight Kate's disgust at being driven at breakneck speed back to a Portimao cop shop because someone mistook another child in a CCTV photo for Maddie?

Was her disgust targeted at the police driver or the investigator who wrongly thought the girl was Maddie?

Yes, but not much use for a good argument. Then again...

Quote
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.

O: Well! it CAN be!

M: No it can't!

M: An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.

O: No it isn't!

M: Yes it is! 'tisn't just contradiction.

O: Look, if I *argue* with you, I must take up a contrary position!

M: Yes but it isn't just saying 'no it isn't'.

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

O: Yes it is!

M: No it ISN'T! Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says.

O: It is NOT!

M: It is!

O: Not at all!

M: It is!
