By the way, has anyone asked how much Sky and the BBC paid the McCanns for the interviews?

About 500,000 euros?

Not much of it seems to stick. It's as though they are a conduit through which the ackers flow on the way to Portuguese courts and lawyers. They've done their bit for the Portuguese economy I guess.

Why should they keep other peoples money.

Amaral kept the money given to him by British people and the money he has been paid for TV interviews.
