Leap of faith to think it will get that far.

If the ECHR rule taht portugal abused tge Mccanns human rights ...particularly their right to te presumption of innocence....then that will be a massive victory for teh mccanns and a massive embarrassment to portugal

That is true but what about Maddie's human rights.  Did she have the right to be properly protected as are all small children?

There are many unanswered questions which the police should be looking at rather than chasing ghosts. Questions like who was behind the metado 3 conspiracy to undermine the investigation?  Who instructed them?  Who paid them? Who was pulling Correia's chain and paying him?

Lots of questions which could come to the surface very quickly.

Try again Rob.

They sullied their names all by themselves by not taking care of their children, and Portuguese and UK tax payers, have bourn the brunt since then.
If that was all that Amaral said then there would be no complaint.

They are appealing to the ECHR against the judgement. The ECHR cannot reverse the judgeemnt but can award compensation and also criticise the judgement and suggest changes to the judicial system

That is not permissible under ECHR rules. The judgement of the highest court of a member of the Council of Europe remains.
