So he worries about me potentially libelling one of the Tapas friends while at the same time lying about Kate telling the truth?  In an effort to wind up one of the moderators on the forum.  I never took what he said as a windup.  If someone  claims that what I said was libellous I find that hard to believe that, that claim, is a joke.

Some mods wind up the members , you just have to find a coping mechanism and don't take your self or your modship too seriously cos we dont.

I take that to mean because the McCanns are not suspects - Wonderfulspan claims whatever the McCanns have said is truthful. 
OK the logic he uses could well be faulty.  But it did not come across as a joke.

Yes we do have other options. We can disbelieve them and challenge their claims, some so outrageous it is
astounding people actually fall for the whole thing. And the saddest thing is a child has been let down and there doesn't seem to be any sign of justice forthcoming.

And there is nothing wrong with investigating all theories and seeking opinions from more experienced people. The fact that one story was sold world wide as fact which there is NO evidence of abduction was helped along with PR gurus , legal teams,media consultants, knowing that the story was just a story and was never investigated fully, or was misdirected by more stories from the family.
