I fear that at the moment we are in danger of becoming too OTT in the 'Politically Correct' department.  IMO it is going to interfere with and stifle debate if folk are going to be spending so much more of their time pointing out rule breaks by others and having to watch every word they type themselves to make sure they haven't slipped up.

We have excellent mods and in my experience because both sides are represented -  no-one from either side is allowed to get away with downright libel or blatently posting opinion as fact.

I really appreciate this forum - I would hate to see it strangled to death by rules that are too rigorously applied.

Just my opinion -no-one is obliged to agree with it.

That is exactly what will hsppen

A full and open investigation would have included the parents and the rest of the group.

But one could say that so far there has been no incriminating evidence  against the McCanns which has either been ignored or dismissed  or has just not been sufficient  to have them charged.
A proper investigation would not release that information.

This is no minor issue Jassi. It will affect the way people post on the forum, in fact it might make it so difficult that posters will just give up.

Of course it is. This is a forum in cyberspace.  If you don't like the rules, don't play the game.

However if during the investigation any evidence  incriminating the mccanns would now surely  have
been ignored /dismissed or led to them being charged.
Must be one or the other.
Or the alternative is there is no such evidence.

Another alternative is there is no evidence.I would say upwards of £12 million of resouces might lead one to suspect that.

Its clear there are lots of reasons to rule out parental involvement

In your opinion. In Rowley's opinion the first investigation dealt with it. That's the only reason he offered.

Eh,  is that why we have 'Amber alert' then?

Amber Alert only applies when a certain set of criteria are met.

Amber Alert only applies when a certain set of criteria are met.

amber   alert    goes  in action here in australia with any missing children   BUT   as i say jassi 90%   of  children abducted are usally  domestic/family  related      a  random snatching  is highly unusal

No evidence at all?
Could be the case.
I see no reason why any incriminating evidence against the Mccanns would be ignored/dismissed/covered up, unless one goes down the conspiracy road which imo leads nowhere.
So in the belief that there is no conspiracy I will continue to believe that the investigation has been open and fair and that there is no evidence to doubt the McCann's non-involvement in Madeleine's disappearance(imo).

Rowley  said the first investigation dealt with it
They had looked at and agreed
That reads to me that they had considered the parental involvement and ruled it out
Its a matter of opinion
