Does not answer my question.
Do you believe that during this long investigation that any indication of the Mccann's involvement in Madeleine's disappearance would just be brushed aside/ignored/by a professional police force?

I assume you mean the Met when you refer to a professional police force? As opposed to an unnamed unprofessional police force you mean?'

The PJ paid attention to the timeline because they weren't satisfied that it was correct. When they archived their investigation the questions regarding the timeline remained unanswered.

I have seen no evidence that the Met noticed this or did any work to clarify it. They didn't appear to interview any of the witnesses in Portugal whose statements disagreed with the time given by the T9 for their exodus from the Tapas restaurant, for example.

Here's a solution.

Everyone change their signature line to

"The views expressed in my post are my opinion only and may not necessarily constitute 100% verifiable fact"

Would that do?

There are those here who would take that to mean you are not certain of your facts
Whereas as they feel their version is factual

Sutton said he disagreed with Asst Com Rowley's assessment. He said inconsistencies in some of Kate and Gerry's statements, Kate's 2011 book madeleine and also some of the witness accounts of the Tapas 7 disturbed him.

I do.  This forum is second to none for information on the McCann case IMO.

But some of it is incorrect opinion posted as fact

As John has said, as have others.

What Rowley said is full of contradictions.

For a very simple reason, he doesn't know what happened.

Precisely so, that's what happens when someone attempts to explain the inexplicable.

Sutton is not privy to all the information and has not interviewed the McCanns whereas I feel certain Rowley had

John is stating his opinion not facts
Rowley will have interviewed the McCanns imo and decided they should not be considered suspects

Cite Rowley's interview with the McCann's.

They can say abduction though, just not continue to promote it as a fact. All they have to do is change their language slightly.

Instead of 'it's obvious Madeleine was abducted' they can say 'I think it's obvious'
Instead of 'the abductor did this or that' they can say 'an abductor may have'

It's not so hard, is it?

I second that.  Abduction could have occurred within or without the apartment, then again she could have been run over and put in an open excavation before being covered over.  End of the day nobody except the person involved knows what happened.

Rowley is a manager, he doesn't interview anyone.

Nor is there evidence of an accident, or death.  So bear that in mind as well.

But there is evidence she walked out to the street and was lifted.

I think you are right.  But Mr Bennett wouldn't agree with you.

No there isn't.

Joao Carlos ruled out 'woke and wandered' and the PJ and Scotland Yard are investigating abduction from the apartment.
