I didn't know there was such a thing as a genetic fallacy.

Knowing that she couldn't defend such implied libel (IMO), why didn't she do the proper thing and remove the offending statement?

Have you forgotten the meaning of debate?   It is plain to see that the Supreme Court decision has had a profound effect on your ability for rational discussion.

Anything Amaral knows should be contained within the Portuguese case files - the same files the current team are using to not investigate the McCanns & their friends, IMHO. If not, he must be guilty of withholding evidence.

If he is not deliberately  saying something  that's false then he must believe something that is false
