But I do
Don't you know why it has cost so much
You have been invited to explain.

You have declined to explain.

What remains is your unsubstantiated, unbelievable claim.
What's up, old man?

Was it 50,000 statements ...pieces of evidence
Each one professionally translated
Then assessed for value
An incredible job
Unheard of before
Totally unique

Pity it has delivered so little.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

That is pure supposition.

Who translated the documents and where was it done ?

A great pity but let's wait and see
Strange no one questions the costs of the jersey investigation which also found nothing

Pull the other one.

Kate says a first task was to have all the statements professionally translated, at a cost of nearly £100,000.

Even if Kate was mean enough to withhold her translated version from OG, you are still £10.9 million short.

Unbelievable.

It was deemed to be probably coconut, but not 100%.

Let's not forget either secondary transfer.

Perhaps that's because this is a thread about Madeleine McCann and you know how we're not to supposed  go off topic.

The thread has constantly discussed the cost...
How can you judge the cost without comparison to other investigations

You judge the cost on what it has achieved.

Which is ...............

Unbelievable.

Grange could not use Kate's translation for obvious reasons
This isn't my explanation it's from a senior policeman making a public statement on the issue
The sheer volume of evidence is what has caused the cost
Ignore the truth if you wish

No you don't
That is a ridiculous statement

Someone who knows the cost of everything band the value of nothing

Then cite what the senior police man said.

It was on a radio show...one of your London ones if I recall
He explained the enormous cost of translation and assessing the evidence when so much evidence is involved
