“Everyone lies.
Some stretch the truth; others mince it. This is a story about people who blow it to smithereens. Shameless revisionists. Hard-core, in-your-bald-face liars.
For these people, reality is reflexively rearranged into dirty packages of deceit. Psychiatrists say compulsive liars--one researcher estimates they account for up to 5% of the population--suffer from a personality disorder that leads them not just to tell lies but to try to live those lies as well.
“A lot of these people try to rewrite their personal history,” says Bryan King, a psychiatrist at the UCLA School of Medicine who has studied lying. “They often come from traumatic home environments. Their own history is so bad, they revise it.”
And, experts say, when compulsive liars start to believe their revised versions, a whole new fictionalized world opens up for them. A new self-esteem. A new sense of power.
“Some liars get a thrill that’s almost addictive,” says Charles Ford, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, who is writing a book on the subject. “They get an instant rush by duping someone. They think, ‘Hey, I must be hot stuff to pull this off. Look how clever I am.’
“If they don’t get caught, these liars just keep on lying, keep on building on the lies. They don’t care who gets hurt by it. A lot of these people have dry rot of the superego.”

It’s obviously JB to a tee – have you read his pathetic blogs where he talks of hiw “wonderful mum” and the deep love they shared?
I recognise ALL those characteristics by how my stalker behaved — who is also a psychopath. This isn’t about me, so I shan't go into that, but I know only too well how manipulative that are; how they lie pathologically; how they become obsessed, fixated, jealous to the point they admit publicly they want to kill you, try to brainwash and indoctrinate your loved ones, friends, associates , acquaintances, contacts, neighbours, absolutely everyone...snoop and search for your private business, finances, GP, dentist, local restaurants, take photographs on the sly, photographs of your home when you’re abroad, search your bins...check online for details of your car....oh, it’s HORRIFIC! And what’s so awful is that some people who don’t know you well wonder if some of the evil lies are true, because psychopaths can be so convincing, so sly, so manipulative!
We only know a small part of what Jeremy Bamber got up to in his life, but no-one becomes a mass-murderer overnight. I GUARANTEE he gave June, Nevill AND Sheila hell for years! And they all kept it hushed up; they were ashamed, embarrassed, and fearful of him. Even after he killed them all he tried to humiliate them: the nude pictures of Sheila; telling people that locals called his family “The Funny Farm”; telling sick, twisted lies about them...he is just a revolting evil psychopath who should be put into solitary confinement for the rest of his days and allowed NO contact with ANYONE outside. In fact, the way he and his CT are going, the people’s time they’re wasting, I can see that happening eventually. He’s just a total nuisance who needs to be restrained,
