Paulo Reis - Friend or foe?
« on: March 09, 2018, 04:19:36 AM »
Paulo Reis  https://plus.google.com/u/0/+PauloReisJornalista

For some reason I think of him as a foe but does he deserve that?  What can we say about his role in the McCann case?

I was looking for more information on Bob Small and came across this article by Paulo Reis and it didn't read that bad so I want to know more.

Telling the truth or not.  A friend is anyone telling the truth.  I don't care about the outcome, I just want the truth.

So you want a thread to decide if people are lying? Invitation to libel.

Isn't there criticism of MSM at times and Paulo Reis is a journalist.
Opinions would be OK.  I don't know really  how it will go.  It takes a bit of work to decide.

If we don't like what is reported surely it isn't libel to say what is reported is wrong.  I must look into the rules on criticism of press releases.
This might be a start "* If you are expressing an opinion, for example on a film or restaurant, then you may be protected by the defence of "comment" or "fair comment," if the facts in your statement were reasonably accurate."  http://www.bmartin.cc/dissent/documents/defamation.html

Paulo, thank you for this exhaustive and crucial analysis.
It is high time for the ridiculous pretenses from this group to be exposed for what they are: an insult to anyone's intelligence, and an even greater insult to the memory of a little girl who deserves so much better.

Is this one of the volunteer translators of the PJ Files?

Paulo Reis may indeed be what it says on the tin ... "journalist" ... in my opinion though, he would have done well not to have associated himself with Duarte Levy.  That would give anyone's credibility a severe hammering.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Thanks Brietta  It might have been Duarte Levy who I was thinking about in the first place.  I had this image of this man and the photos of Paulo Reis didn't ring the bell.

You seemed to be confusing him with someone else earlier, so perhaps he is two of a kind
