The gun tests that were carried out in the US, Im getting confused about it all, again! What were they trying to prove? Im getting the impression that it was something to do with the burn marks on Nevile? I used to think it was to try and prove there was no silencer on the gun. Which is it?

If I recall it was an attempt to show two things namely...

1. That Sheila was not shot with a rifle fitted with a silencer.

2. That it was the tip of the rifle barrel which made the burn marks on Nevill's back.

Thanks John. How do they know the marks on nevile were even made that night? They look like older marks to me, as if theyre starting to heal.
