Chris Huhne pleads guilty to perverting the course of justice
« on: February 04, 2013, 03:29:07 PM »
Former Lib Dem cabinet minister Chris Huhne has today pleaded guilty to a charge of perverting the course of justice after denying it publicly for over a year.  He is expected to resign his seat in the House of Commons tomorrow.

The charge relates to a speeding incident some ten years ago when Huhne was caught by a speed camera.  His now ex wife alleged some time ago after the break up of their marriage that she was coerced by Huhne into taking responsibility for the offence and the speeding points associated with it even though he was the driver of the vehicle.  She also faces trial starting tomorrow on a charge of perverting the course of justice.

Huhne previously and unsuccessfully challenged Nick Clegg for leadership of the Lib Dems.

A prison sentence of between 6 and 9 months is quite normal for such an offence.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.

Chris Huhne sentenced to 8 months imprisonment after receiving a 10% discount for pleading guilty prior to the start of his trial.  Vicky Pryce also sentenced to 8 months. Both sentences effective immediately, it is expected that both will be released at the 4 month mark.

I wonder does Jack consider it ok for Mark Williams-Thomas to make a stash from a (botched) documentary. or does that not count?   8(0(*

Apparently, 9 weeks then a home curfew for both of them. Blimey, 9 weeks in Holloway for VP.    8(8-))

John I think considering the short time MWT had to make the documentary without much help he gave an unbiased account laid bare for TV viewers

Authors on the other hand are more likely to 'embroider' the facts and get away with much more than a documentary maker

As I said before I am just trying to get to the facts in the case and there is not a single piece of evidence from Barbara Wilson or anyone else that shows Jeremy hated farming

I still believe the 'Jeremy hated farming' or Jeremy was buying a porche stories are deliberate attempts to give an excuse why JB would murder his family

Am I the only one that thinks Vicky Huhne looks like a rather unconvincing transvestite?

All this 'nit picking' is completely irrelevant. Deal with the real issues.
How could Shelia have carried out the murders?

Honestly, it's all so blindingly obvious. I don't know why I or anyone else on here, bother reading the utter drivel you churn out. No offence intended. I'm sure you're a nice lady but where this case is concerned, you seem to have taken leave of your senses.

And Carina Trimingham really does look like Wendolene Ramsbottom.

Yep, she does, I couldn't have put it better myself! I've heard Danny Alexander being described as a clone for Beaker from is it Sesame Street or the Muppets?

Oh wow, definitely, Beaker from the Muppets.

Chorus:  "It's time to get things started, get things started, on the Muppet Show tonight!"

Sorry off topic...

I like to think I have a sense of humor but I am mostly just irritating.

Now we all know why the country is in such a mess as tricky Vicky was supposed to be a talented economist who worked for the government.   With talent like that no wonder both of them ended up in stir.   @)(++(*
