Probably because it’s not credible ?
OK, not a view shared by all sceptics here, so somewhat contentious perhaps.

Do all you supporters agree on how Madeleine was abducted ?

Not at all.

Do you not think that the not very credible fridge theory reflects rather badly on Amaral’s critical faculties generally?

Well, it is just a theory after all. He could have been over-thinking it. It is just an assumption that all sceptics read and believe Sr Amarals book and contents. Some of it I  have come to know through discussion. somethings he says are quite plausible IMO.  He put forward his ideas in a book -no one would have bothered much if the McCanns didn't bring it to the global stage. IMO. I get the impression from observation that they did enjoy the global stage.

In my opinion Amaral’s fridge theory casts serious doubt  on his ability to think logically and therefore seriously undermines everything else he has to say about this case.   In the same way that a geographer with a first class degree who believes the earth is only 6000 years old has zero credibility as a critical thinker - IMO.

The McCanns didn't file their suit after his best-selling book was published. They filed it after his documentary with 2 million+ viewers, plus presumably those who bought and shared the DVD, and however many people viewed it online.

In the modern world, if it is reported that X is suing Y over an article in a paper the first public reaction IMO is to find the article and see what it said. I still say if they had made a simple statement countering the book etc. and said they would not comment on it further, it would be history by now.

It may be just coincidence that in his only other missing child case, his team were apparently convinced (or appeared to to be) that the suspects had stuffed or had attempted to stuff the child's body in their small fridge/freezer even though the DNA result on an undated speck of blood in the back of it could only determine that it was of human, not animal origin. And that despite the fact that there's no explanation as to what they did with the contents in order to try to do so, when other occupants were about to come home to a small house.

As it was human and not animal, it was therefore certain, according to their testimonies, that something terrible had happened to her in her home that night.

He didn't understand the DNA results in the Madeleine case, either, and his only "we, experts" theory was that the body had to have been frozen and started thawing in the car that they'd hired 3 weeks later. Case solved.

Did the McCanns ever deny having transporting a cadaver in their car?  I know there was a denial that it could have been Madeleine.

Didn't they? I can't remember if they did or not. It would have been laughed at as coming from "Pinkie" anyway, so what difference would it have made?

He was the ex-head honcho in public perception, IMO, the sole true warrior with enormous experience and extensive insider knowledge as to the "truth" about her disappearance, miserably thwarted by everyone under the sun in his quest to find the fridge and bring Martin Smith back to sign on the dotted line that it was definitely Gerry that he'd seen, despite his kids disagreeing, and his wife only agreeing that the stature was similar.

If Adrian Gatton is indeed the person behind the McCanns' and the Conman documentary, Martin's e-fit wasn't the Gerry /Cristovão lookalike ... his was the thin-faced man. The look-alike was by Peter, apparently, who didn't think it was Gerry in any case.

Now that's an interesting thought.

Were they ever asked? Whose cadaver could they have transported? There are undertakers in Portugal...

I didn't say "Pinkie", i said the McCanns.

The Kids disagreeing is a straw to be clutched even though IMO it only Martin identified and his kids didn't.

Well why was the hire car only  checked after the trip to Spain?  The Villa was forensically examined on the 2nd and the car on the 5th (IIRC)  It wasn't on the same day, even though there was a distinct alert in the dining room.

Why did Amaral only want Martin to come over, yet again, then, out of that whole family? Why didn't he organise e-fits at the time, when the 3 had come over again later in May 2007?
