Watch this clever cadaver dog at 26 minutes in, with his handler

Alerts to the presence of a dead body

Only one little problem...

Eddy did alert to a piece of coconut shell.

Can you prove this?

Unless you have actual evidence the coconut was the source of the alert I won't accept it.  A cadaver could have been in contact with the coconut and hence the coconut becomes cross contaminated but it isn't the source in reality

No different to Eddie alerting to clothing.

There is no way of knowing what Eddie actually alerted to.

This argument is given in respect to the alerts in 5a.

The same applies at Haut De La Garenne.

You are splitting hairs.  Davel's comment was not incorrect.

There was enough kerfuffle about it at the time.

three bone fragments (the largest 25 mm = 1 inch long) were identified as possibly human; two of them have been dated to a range from 1470 to 1650 and the other 1650 to 1950

“Criticism intensified after the November 2008 withdrawal by police of claims of evidence[41] with the investigation being described variously as "farcical"[42] and a "shambles".[43] It was suggested that those leading the enquiry had leaped too readily to conclusions.[44] The reliance on indications given by the same sniffer dogs criticised in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann was also questioned.[45]”

Interesting.

But none of that proves what Eddie alerted to.

Interesting point.  .when eddie alerted and a coconut was found... Sceptics claim that was not what Eddie aerted to..
But when keela alerted in the boot... Even though there was no forensic confirmation.... Sceptics insist keela alerted to blood..

The fact is no one has a clue what the dogs alerted to... And the alerts are therefore of no value..

Sure.  The EVRD police spaniel alerted to a dead chick.  No doubt there was a human cadaver below it, the dog’s handler didn’t bother to check.   @)(++(*

I didn't realise what those numbers referred to earlier, but I now understand them to be dates.  Were they given a Carbon dating test or such like and found to be up to 400 years old?  Does cadaver odour remain for that length of time?  Amazing!

Was the dog in question Eddie?  Not all cadaver dogs equal?  SIL is finding his cadaver dog is finding all sorts of cadavers.
