So that's just a possible motive.   ......put forward by you

Its possible some high minded person might have thought the McCanns needed teaching a lesson about leaving their children 'home alone'.  Even someone who might appear outwardly 'normal' can have emotional problems, mental health issues and/or abuse substances that make them act irrationally.  We simply don't know.  It would be silly to say well this person or that person wouldn't do this that or the other because they don't appear criminally minded or they have such and such status or they're this age or that age etc, etc.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

According to PF's niece's police rog she visited on the Sun and Thu along with her husband.  If they have knowledge of MM's disappearance how would I know if they both have knowledge or one only has knowledge and if one, which one?!

If MM was abducted we have no idea of the motive: perp(s) have emotional/mental health issues/addictions to mood altering substances/child/grandchild to raise as own/sexual/monetary gain.
You’ve already described your suspect as female, middle class, well off - are you now backtracking?

Still doesn't make it so.

Its a sensible inference to draw.

In any event it doesn't really matter.  What's important is what she thinks she heard:

- A child not under the age of 2 crying 10.30 pm to 11.45 pm
- Parents returning via patio doors which can't be locked from outside

Who did she tell the above to other than Edna Glyn and who did EG tell?

I thought I always referred to suspect(s)?

It clearly matters to your theory.

May I remind posters of the high level rules on the homepage:

Putting forward names as potential abductors is considered libellous as such any posts will be removed on sight.

My theory is that someone abducted MM from 5A having gleaned knowledge of the McCanns nighttime MO.  Its possible PF may have unwittingly been the source of that knowledge.

No she didn't refer to MM by name but she had seen the McCann family walking around during the day, was adamant the crying was from 5A and that it wasn't from a child of 2 years or younger ergo MM.

From her vantage points in 5G, how would Mrs Fenn have been aware which of the 4 families was in 5A?

My theory is that the abductor was someone who knew MM was 'home alone' in the unsecured apartment and what the McCanns MO was of an evening.  This knowledge could have been gained first hand by observation or second-hand from someone else who was in a position to gain that information.

PF claims she heard MM crying on 1st May calling out 'Daddy, daddy' from 10.30 pm - 11.45 pm which stopped when she heard the patio doors slide open which she assumed was the McCanns returning.  PF claims she called a local friend to discuss the situation.  Who else, if anyone, did PF tell and was it passed on to anyone else by PF's local friend, Edna Glyn?  Effectively they were letting others know MM was home alone in the unsecured apartment.

By all accounts the nights were cold and dark so I can't see too many people spending enough time on balconies to observe the McCanns MO directly.  I think the abductor(s) gained the knowledge from PF directly or indirectly.
Libel by inference.

Libel by inference.

I am not inferring anyone since no one knows who PF may have shared the knowledge with other than Edna Glyn and no one knows who Edna Glyn shared with and no one knows who may have overheard.

Please read PF's wit stat:

When questioned, she said that she never heard any arguments between the couple or with their children. She said that the family would spend much time outside of the apartment and therefore she did not notice their presence.
She said that until that night she had never spoken to the McCann's, because up until the 3rd May, she only sometimes saw them walking in the street. She never saw them with any vehicle.
She also said that she never told the McCann's that she had heard their daughter crying previously on 1st May because she thought it would just increase their suffering.

You are inferring someone because we all know who you’ve fingered in your theory which you sent to the police.

The earliest either of those ladies would have had chance to gossip locally about the crying would have been the Wednesday morning. Surely the crying was insignificant to Mrs Fenn as it didn't prevent her from sleeping on the Tuesday night and was even more meaningless to Edna Glyn. Furthermore PF could not possibly have known that the children in 5A had been left without adult supervision, given that occupancy of the apartment changed on at least a weekly basis if not more frequently.

Her statement does not answer the question as to how she knew the McCann family were in the apartment immediately below her if she only saw them on the streets. From her vantage point, how could she tell which apartment the McCann family, as opposed to the Paynes or JT/ROB departed from before seeing them on the streets?
