Julie also mentioned that Bamber said he had diamonds. Jeremy embellishes so it's not unlikely that instead of telling Collins he was a magistrate, he said he'd been a high court judge. Whatever Jeremy took or sold from WHF was gone - we'll never know (for sure).

 As Nevill wasn't ever a High Court Judge -he was a magistrate- it stands to reason that he couldn't have retired from being one.

I wonder why BC has come forward now, after all these years ?  I don't trust him any further than I can throw him, TBH, although I , myself, wonder whether Jeremy got someone else to commit the murders , having planned them.

Highly possible. Very probable. The Speakmans didn't move in High Society circles. Whether or not they still did, I think the Bambers may once have. I'd be prepared to put money on any tiaras coming from that side of the family.

It’s quite possible that Granny Bamber gave Nevill and June some of her jewellery and it was kept at Granny Speakman’s house for safety reasons.

With regard to the diamonds, tiara etc, if there's any truth to this it seems to me me they were more likely to originate from Granny Bamber than Granny Speakman.  The former, according to CAL, run an upmarket boutique off or nr Bond St. Her daughters lived in South Africa (diamond mines) both of whom passed away before their mother who died in a home near WHF Dec 81 (I think).  I can't remember all the political history re what was Rhodesia and now Zimbabwe but a lot of white people left the country and/or off loaded their assets.  Is it possible any such diamonds originated from the Bamber's as opposed to the Speakmans?

How would he know anything about BC?

I was also thinking that the diamonds probably originated from granny Bamber, it might explain why Jeremy was reluctant to sort out the jewellery - maybe there wasn't much left to sort!

Nevill hadn't retired. If there were thousands in the safe the relatives would have found it first.
