What Time Did The Bamber’s Have Their Last Dinner?

I think the Bambers had their last dinner between 8:30 & 9pm — is that correct?

Does anyone know what they had for dinner?

I’m curious about something...

Bamber said in his 1st WS that they were having supper between 8-9pm but didn't say what they were eating.

On a slightly related note, I wonder if JB slipped a tranquilliser into Crispy's bowl so he wouldn't bark when he sneaked back in while they were all asleep? According to Julie he was planning to drug them all at one time. I wouldn't put anything past him.

I didn’t have time to write everything I wanted to ask, but this is why I believe it’s important that we know what time the Bamber’s had their dinner.

I’m sure it was between 8:30 & 9pm...and from what I’ve read, Sheila went to bed about 10pm

In Dr Vanezis’ PM report he stated that Sheila had “partially digested food in her stomach”

Once someone’s eaten it takes 2.5 to 3 hours for 50% of the food to leave the stomach and then goes into the rest of the digestive system

After between 4-5 hours the stomach is completely empty.

Sheila’s stomach was only PARTIALLY digested.

That means, when Sheila had her dinner at approximately 8/9pm her stomach would have been totally empty by 2am, and half empty by between 11pm and midnight...

The fact her stomach was only partially empty when Dr Vanezis conducted the post mortem on her means she must have died NO LATER than approximately 2am; maybe sooner. So that means she couldn’t have gone berserk with the gun at 3am. Nor could she have been prowling around inside the house, walking past windows, turning lights on/off, called 999 at 6am; and more crucially, couldn’t have beaten Nevill to a pulp supposedly AFTER he called Jeremy at at 3:20am.

To reiterate, Sheila’s last dinner would have left her stomach no later than 2am — possibly much sooner — but as the pathologist stated, the food was only PARTIALLY digested from her stomach, which shows she must have died approximately 2/3 hours after having eaten as her food was only partially digested.

So what this means is that Sheila died much earlier than 3am and that she couldn’t have been going berserk with a gun at 3:25am as she was dead.

Thoughts anyone?

From the Robin Garbutt case I have learned that gastric analysis is not the most reliable for giving a precise time of death, requiring further information as to what and how much was eaten at what time but from the information you have posted this would certainly seem to end all the CT silly claims to Sheila being alive until gone 7, not that anyone with a brain takes them seriously.

Yes, I don't think there was ever any serious doubt that they all died around the same time, unless you believe some photoshopped pics that show the blood still flowing at 10.30....

Well if I was a Bamber supporter I’d try and dig up a statement from a friend or family member of Sheila’s who mentioned a night where they saw her fixing herself a midnight snack and then I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore and carry on holding her responsible for the killings.

A good point, unfortunately. She was partial to the odd bendy bifter so doubtless there would be witnesses to when she suffered the munchies.

CC or someone might be able to shed light on her sleeping habits while on Haloperidol though. Possible she zonked out at 10pm and wouldn't have woken for hours unless there was a commotion in the house caused by you know who.

Prof Knight (the defence pathologist) wrote a tome on 'Time of Death' and there's no reliable method for establishing a narrow time frame ie JB's claim of a call at circa 3.30 am and the police finding SC at 7.30 am.
