Page 8 of the pathology report tells of a severe beating to the head - unfortunately I don’t know how to post it so that it’s legible.  I would say “beaten to a pulp” was a fair description.

And indignantly requesting to be shown, where it says in the pathology report, that Nevill was "beaten to a pulp", does NOT render the attack less vicious, NOR leave his brain less exposed as a result of it.

I imagine that "a soft, wet, shapeless piece of material" could adequately describe a brain exposed by the skull being smashed/

But it's not just the ability to master something but to master it in such a way that you're able to pass a test and be deemed competent.

We all perform countless activities that no one has instructed us in.  We either pick them up from observing others or they're intuitive. 

No one ever showed me how to use household appliances, baby/childcare equipment, beauty appliances, DIY equipment  , gardening equipment, electronic devices: desktops, laptops, ipods, ipads, iPhones, android phones, kindles, cameras.  The list goes on and on.

The government requires gun owners to hold a firearms licence but it doesn't require gun owners to pass a test to demonstrate competence.

No need for some silly semantic quibble when the pathologist who carried out the 5 pm's has stated in plain English re the non-gunshot wpunds:

I did not find it surprising that a woman of that build in possession of a weapon possibly in a deranged state could cause the injuries present.

SC lived independently and up until her breakdown in Mar '85 was main carer to the twin's.  What evidence exists that she struggled with any of the activities I've identified?
