Once you've got shot of the bot just keep minimising down on screen with your fingers and you'll get to Africa!  Then find your way to Portugal/PDL.

In 30 minutes, according to the Microsoft AutoRoute software, at an average of 70km/h, it is possible to make a round-trip journey between the village of Luz and the localities of: Raposeira, if travelling West; Bensafrim, if travelling North, and Odi?ere if going East.

That movement would have produced records only in the antennae that serve Praia da Luz, and thus the absence of any record.

I don't know, but if so it puts Bruekner's phone call into context. How do they know he was actually in Luz?

I don't think police have ever said more than area of PDL

I've only had a quick look at the map.  I'm assuming the liitle orange triangles just outside Luz, either side, near the coast are masts?  I think the number and location are based on phone traffic too.  The Luz population is only crica 3.5k.

I don't believe cell site analysis is like GPS where the location can be pinpointed with accuracy.  Afaik all CSA is capable of doing is confirming a call was made/received through a tower.

CSA was used in part to try and convict the Omagh bomb suspects.  Numerous calls were made from the South to Omagh allegedly when the suspects were allegedly en route to plant the bomb but it didn't stand up.

It was successfully used in part to convict those held responsible for the Rettendon murders.

I can't see in this case how it could assist as CB was living in Luz at the time.

No the orange triangles are not phone masts.  It might be the red dots but again there are only two for PDL and these are situated on the inland main road EN125.

That’s an interesting quote (though reported second hand). If they had no phones and no watches then how were any of them able to confirm the timings of the checks? I’m presuming someone can answer this for me!

Jane and I were having a hit on the court when, in the afternoon, so about half two, three o'clock when Grace was having her sleep and Evie was asleep, erm Gerry and Kate were watching us, so we saw them then and then we saw Kate running on the beach later on that day, about quarter to five, five o'clock'.
