It's obvious the evidence isn't "strong":
- MET retaining an open mind re CB's involvement
- MET still treating as a missing person
- Appeals for info re vehicles and tel calls
- CB not questioned or charged
I don't need to attempt to shoehorn my theory into something that doesn't fit with the known facts. Unlike CB my suspects fit puuuurrrrrfectly:
- Observed MM on Sun 29th Apr @ 5a
- Observed MM on Thu 3rd May @ 5a
- Learned of Mc's MO thru the person they were visiting: MM home alone, Mc's @ TB, unsecured patio door, crying incident
- Learned of recent burglary and used knowledge to stage window/shutter to throw everyone
- Able to plan and execute with military precision
- Possibly 2 involved: 1 - lookout, 1 - execute
- Tracker dogs didn't scent outside immediate vicinity suggesting car was involved - suspects non-descript hire car
- Demonstrates cunning by offering self as witness ostensibly to assist with the investigation
Here is another piece to your puzzle which you most probably will disregard: Since Brückner is known to have befriended much older women, including walking their dogs and cleaning their homes, perhaps Pamela Fenn’s friend Edna Glyn whom she called on the night of the crying incident, was his source of information?
