I just cannot see a paedophile going to such risky lengths to abduct a child he can't even have known about a week before just to kill her. It doesn't make sense.

The reason could be to make a video of abuse to sell on the dark Web. This would tie in with everything Wolters has said and CBs claim that he had a horrible job to do but it would make him rich

I thought this 4th hand uncorroborated statement was merely about 'a dirty job', which could be anything from mucking out the pigs at the Ciprianos, to putting a new drive train in a Ford Escort van.

Keep it narrow. Quite how CB would monetise a snuff video on the darkweb in 2007, I can't grasp, particularly given his total lack of resources and this apparent limited timescale, when he was hotfooting it across Europe in one or two of several vehicles.
If he did somehow manage to summon the wherewithal, he wasn't very successful - he's still skint.

Well, I have always thought she was alive, and that her parents appear to do the same.

But from the way the parents behaved I felt they had some idea of why she was taken.   There is a video of Gerry's father (may have not been his father, but it wasn't Kate's father), saying they needed the donations for legal expenses.  That to me was an indication that there was some reason to be anticipating legal expenses, in other words, I believe they knew what went on to some extent.

Thinking that she is alive and being well cared for is the only way I can think a person would take a 3 to 4-year-old.
So my thinking is she will be fully integrated into the new family and only have distant memories of the McCanns.

According to HCW he has concrete evidence Maddie dead and CB murdered her. Some want to ignore that but I think it has to be taken seriously.
I can think of several reasons why it was Maddie that was targeted.
