If the evidence is true about the fingerprint then it would undeniably put Brueckner at the scene of the crime so there would be no reason why charges could not be brought no matter what other elements were being considered. Therefore I think it’s safe to assume that the fingerprint story is simply more newspaper twaddle….the kind that certain individuals seem to lap up.
As to legal obstacles, these seem to have been deftly navigated in the case of the rape case Brueckner has been convicted of. Have we any real reason to believe that the same cooperation and mutually satisfactory outcome could not be achieved speedily again in the Behan case?
Wow. You just completely ignored all the legal complications I pointed out and resorted to the argument of "if they got fingerprints, they charge!". Genius.
And since you are such a legal expert on all this, tell me how you think all these legal obstacles were deftly navigated in the other rape case then? There was nothing deft about it!
It was an all round struggle, not least due to fact the Portuguese authorities have been so deliberately unhelpful and laboured. Do some research. In case you've forgotten, it was taken to the European court of appeal and his conviction was very nearly overturned on the techincality that the Germans didn't obtain the correct extradtion paperwork. Thankfully they were helped out by the Italians in all this mess and the conviction stood.
You have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about either do you?
Maybe don't assert such strong opinions on aspects you have absolutely no clue about.
