Who is Nikolov?

You posted to misty on March 21st, look on page 28 its there.

Very interesting, Misty. I believe it was Elke Piro who provided the information (?) The reference to ‘Nikolov’ - is that the Russian, Ivan Nikolov police were trying to trace? The Sat1 documentary is no longer available but I believe it will shortly be on UK television.

That seemed to be a subtitle error.  Nikolov instead of Nicole F.

But when you watched it you thought it referred to Ivan Nikolov as you further posted on the same day

"I thought she was talking about another person called ‘Nikolov’ or is it a subtitle error? Like you say, Nicole F. I have no additional information for ‘Ivan’ and just know the name came up in connection with CB and NF."

But Brueckner didn't get rid of the car, Sadie.  He only changed the name of the registered owner.  Why do that if he had nothing to hide?

Scratches her head thinking .

Err!   Umm! ...........

Yep, what on earth did he do that for if he wasn't giving/ selling the car to his friend,  Good thinking Elli

I think that is the pertinent point.  Why change the registration on a vehicle you had no intention of handing over and which remained in your possession.

Just very strange.

How enigmatically you pursue any pretence of discussion.  Tell me ... are you trying to be the forum comedienne; it isn't working if you are.

Whilst highly intelligent, The General seems to be trying to give the impression of being a bit doolally.

I wonder why that could be?

Maybe it will work

A fairly simple explanation is that he had no address in either country, which was probably necessary to register the car.

Are you suggesting that the Jaguar wasn't already registered in Brueckner's name?

In which case how could he reregister it and why would he want to?

One can only guess, but it might have been previously registered at an address in Germany that he no longer had, particularly if the vehicle was already there.
Rather in the way you need to renew a driving licence if you change address.

I don't know whose name it was registered in. All I know is that it was registered in Germany. Whether it had insurance and an MOT I don't know, but those are two things that might need sorting out using a fixed address.

I don't think that is going to work.  Brueckner hadn't lived in Germany for a very long time.

And presuming that what you suggest is true, why draw attention to yourself very shortly after Madeleine disappeared by reregistering a car to a third party that you hardly knew and had no intention of giving the car to them, unless you thought someone might be looking for the car?

Personally, I don't care, for other than forensic reasons.  But it is much too late for that now.

You don't seem to know very much at all.

No Insurance and No MOT?  Why would Brueckner care all of a sudden?

With the Schengen borders policy does an EU citizen have to have a residing address for a vehicle if so where ? if living a transient lifestyle ?
