So can you prove that a few hundred leaflets posted through the letter boxes of the good people of Rothley has had a detrimental effect on the 'search' or are you just following the party line ?

It wasn't just Rothley though, was it Faithlilly? And can you prove that no-one was swayed by the lies in Bennet's pamphlets? It's getting to look like you are condoning the leaflet campaign .....

I really would like to understand your point of view  Rachel,  and perhaps if we bring it down to a personal perspective it would help

What are you doing to find Madeleine  ...  in what way do you  'look'  for her  ?

If you were to suddenly be convinced by someone else that Madeleine was dead,  what would you do differently  ...  in what way,  exactly,  would you  'stop'  looking for her  ?

Changing the subject are we Ickie?

Losing the argument?

What are YOU doing to find Madeleine, icabod?

What am I meant to be doing  ?

...  scouring the isles of my local Sainsburys whenever I pop in there ?   ...  checking the other cars when I'm getting petrol ?  ...  keeping my eyes on other kids when I take my own bowling ?

I'm doing nothing   to  'find'  Madeleine  ...  I don't spend a moment of my day  'looking'  for her

Me,  and no-one else   (  outside of the obsessives who have used  this missing child  to fill the gaping hole in their own  lives, )  is  actively  'looking'  for her

If  I suddenly came across a blonde child with a coloboma who looked  just like that 'age enhanced'  image of Madeleine, though, I  would be  aware  of the potential significance,  and act on it    ...  whether I  had previously been convinced that she was dead or not

Icabodcrane asked me what I was doing to find Madeleine,  and I gave a sincere reply about the efforts of our family to try and keep our eyes peeled for Madeleine.  I asked icabodcrane what he was doing to try and find Madeleine, and got a load ot cynical and sarcastic rubbish back in return.

Readers of this forum, please feel free to draw your own conclusions about who is sincere about Madeleine's disappearance here.

That's the 3rd time at least where you've demanded that the readers of this forum do your bidding. Maybe, just maybe, they're capable of making up their own minds.

Icabod's reply perfectly sums up my position on the subject and probably most sensible people's.

Amaral and Bennett kept claiming that Madeleine is dead.  I think that Bennett faced with his trial backed off a bit recently

That's enough to stop a search for a living child

How ? In what way ?

Do you have one example to illustrate your claim ?

Is it fair to say that the majority of people in the country where Madeleine disappeared are quite convinced that she is dead and buried by her parents, thanks to the efforts of Amaral and the PT media?  Or do you think the Portuguese still keep an eye out for her, just in case?

Hi Martha, I am just thinking about something Isabel Duarte said in the BBC Docu about a year ago... something about, "people think I am defending parents who killed their child".... Sorry I don't have a link but I'm sure someone could oblige.  It looks to me like a lot of PT people have Kate and Gerry marked down as guilty going by what Duarte said.  I suppose we can thank Amaral and the PT press for that.  8(8-))

That or the fact that some people don't believe the crap printed in most of the sycophantic UK press and can see there is a whole lot of stuff stacked up against the McCanns and their own police force believed the parents had something to do with it, perhaps?

Greetings, C Ed.  You posit that "there is a whole lot of stuff stacked up against the McCanns" and "their own police force believed the parents had something to do with it".

Yet Kate and Gerry McCann were not even formally arrested, never mind charged with anything.  Go figure.

go figure what..................they wasn't cleared either the case was shelved ..
