It was different lighting to the lighting on that night, in your photograph!

A person with a child in a pram, would naturally keep checking/looking down at that child while talking to someone and there is the possibility that, Jez was doing just that, when JT passed. It is a natural reaction, that you wouldn't be aware of doing, if you tried to think back.

I don't care Jane didn't pass Jez. He was adamant about that! He saw her when he first left not when he was chatting to Gerry. She didn't pass him! She may have turned left down the lane because as she said she would've said something to Gerry if she passed him about the football and you can't mistake his voice.

Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Why would she lie, PF?
Unless you were there, how could you possibly know the circumstances of the few seconds, that it took JT to pass?

Where would that take her? Could she get into her apartment from there?

Yes the lane takes you to the car park at the front of their apartments.

It's not up to us to figure out her motivations Anna  but simply to follow the evidence and if Jez's statements are correct, as I believe they are, then Tanner's can't possibly be.

It would take longer, I believe, jassi and it would be a darker, alley route, that most woman would not, IMO, contemplate, alone.

It wouldn't take longer Anna and what fear could she have with Gerry and Jez within earshot ?

There were lights at the tapas pool side near the lane.

And if JT's statement is correct, as I believe they are, then Jez's can't possibly be, unless of course, he was mistaken, or was not paying attention to the pavement at that time, because of his preoccupation with checking his child and chatting to Gerry.

JT had nothing preoccupying her mind and vision, when she saw them.

And she would've seen them as soon as she left the tapas/reception entrance but she didn't pass them on the same pavement. She would hear Gerry's voice and she can't even remember that!

Her statement said that she went up the road, not the alley, so it is hardly worth discussing, Faith.

I think any woman, who is alone, that would walk down a deserted alleyway, nowadays. would have to be daft.

I was followed in broad daylight walking down a alley, many years ago. Luckily I could run then, but he chased after me and disappeared when I reached the main street.

But if Jez had been distracted for whatever reason he would have said so in his statement. That he was clearly adamant that he hadn't seen anyone suggests otherwise.

I'm not putting out misinformation. I don't believe what Gerry says. That was to show Brietta the light  8)--)) Sadie, it's impossible for Jane to pass them on the same pavement without being seen or heard on a quiet deserted street!  She may have seen the man crossing from much further back and then turned left down the lane so didn't pass them. She is unreliable as a witness as past events show. That is a sensible possible theory if she saw them and the man.
Pathfinder.  I am fast losing patience with you and your ramblings.

You probably haven't even bothered to read the analyses of the facts that I and others have posted.

I suggest that you do read them, in full.

1)  They chatted near the Alleyway corner as pointed out by three substantial pointers from Jez and Jane.  Gerry misremembered.

2)  Pavements 2+ metres wide.  Plenty of room

3)  Flip flops for fairly wealthy peeps going to dinner would be most unlikely to be of the floppy rubber kind  that most of us wear on the beach.  Structured quality leather flip flops would not slap around and make any more noise than your average sandals.   Forget the noise.

4)  The lighting that you show in the image for your post was the new brighter lighting PLUS probably extra lighting used by the video makers.  That is borderline conman stuff, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't realise.  But it is still misinformation.  May I suggest that you take the image down.

5)  The position where you show Gerry and Jez chatting is totally wrong.  Gerry got it wrong, almost undoubtedly, yet having yourself asserted that he got it wrong, you now persist in showing something that You and we all "know" is wrong?

Just to "win" an argument?  That is not even misinformation, it is DISinformation, IMO ... designed to deceive?

Now YOU "know" that they were on the opposite side of the road and 3 different substantial pieces of evidence point to them chatting further down the road than you claim.  By the alleyway corner.

They were NOT even directly across the road from a street lamp, but between two street lamps, furthermore also across the road from them, so with the dim lighting it wasn't very light, but eyes do adjust, true..

Take that false image down, please PF.  Get some of your integrity back.  Otherwise you are starting a new myth.

6)  From Janes statement as outlined in a previous post, "they" were standing in the road ... or at the very least Jez was.  From The Carpenters Statement, cars were parked along that road.  Presumably they felt safe in the road cos of virtually NO moving traffick and also they were shielded by the parked cars.  These parked cars/ ?vans would hide Jane from Jez as she walked towards them.  She was in very tall hubbies fleece (or anorak) so an amorphous shape in ?navy blue in a dark area.  The fact that the cars hid Jane as she walked towards Jez + the limited periferal vision as described in detail by expert Heriberto Janosch [was it 40^ on either side?] would, if Jez was looking at his little one in the pushchair have completely hidden Jane from Jezes vision.

If Jez has big eyebrows and deeply set eyes his periferal vision in an upward direction would probably be reduced to 20^, more or less, IMO

Gerry had his back to the pavement, so his periferal vision would not have had a chance of "clocking" Jane as she walked by.

Pfinder,
May I respectfully suggest that you just drop all your thoughts on this topic.  They are desperate and so flakey that they are not worth writing them ... every point can be easily shown to be potentially wrong.

PFinder, I quite like you despite all your mistakes.  You try .. and I applaud that.   But you dont want to get the reputation as a mis/dis-information merchant, do you?

And, was not JT also adamant that she saw them?

Do you believe, that he would have remembered, the natural reaction of a parent, to check his child, in the few seconds that JT, passed, Faith?

We are singing from the same hymn sheet Anna. I don't think she went down the alley either.
