Dont think so John ... but I am open minded.
A boat was moored outside the Lagos marina just before the gates (drawbridge) was closed for the evening. I think that is where she went, But I know I could be wrong. I also know that she could have been transferred to a boat from one of the little beaches, but it was getting a bit rough weatherwise.
On a boat to be whisked away up to, probably, Sines Harbour. She would get there before dawn. A rather desolate looking mainly industrial harbour. We passed by... an industrial area.
So she would be out of the searches way ... on the Ocean. Just hope she was well looked after aboard.
At early dawn with half light, I then think that she was put into the white van which Moreira spotted at the outdoor snack bar on, IIRC, the N10 at 8 am.. It was a driving distance of very approximately 85 -90 miles(140Km)
Perfect length of time to reach there from half light. I am sorry but I have now forgotten when the dawn arrived, but I checked it at the time I developed this theory ... and I know that the time to drive was about right. We drove it, altho we didn't clock it at the time.
The N10 was the old main road going north and the snack bar is at a little place called Samora Correia, just 5 miles short of Vila Franca Xira, East of Lisboa and a little under half way up to Oporto from PdL. We visited the snack bar. That is in an Industrial area too.
A man was trying to prevent Moreira from seeing a little blond girl asleep on a pile of rags in the back of the white van.
Rags are perfect, fairly soft, Ok for vomit, wee or anything else. Also easy to hide her with ... a quick flick over of another rag, or two, if stopped. Throw a rag out of the window if it got soiled, wipe her clean with a rag. If a few filthy rags were part of the arrangements then if they were checked en route, nobody is going to mess around sorting thru them, are they?
From there up to Campanha, which is where the main railway station for Oporto is. The station is right on a clover leaf off that main road north. They could have travelled it very easily by autoroute, but probably took the old N10 north, cos they arrived at a taxi (apparently near the back of the station) at 12.40 IIRC. And IIRC there were video cameras at the pay booths on the auto route. No pay booths close to cities tho; I guess to speed the traffic thru.
More than ample timing for the autoroute and probably perfect timing for the old fast route. We drove the autoroute both ways for this Northern leg of the journey .
Now when she arrived there how did she get transferred to the taxi?

This is only a theory but it fits perfectly, it ensured that she would not be found in the searches the first night and thanks to the rags and probably a sleeping draft, or what ever, she arrived relatively clean and unscathed at Oporto
John this is the way that I think she went, 300 miles North. Right back to where the first abduction of Jorge Sepulveda happened 14 years before ... and there were a series of sightings up there
Wonder why SY have made Oporto their base?
ETA: Thank you John. but the pertinent bit of the map corresponds to the early part of the video. The walking part. That map shows the driven part... and if the Smiths saw bundleman then he was not driven away in that direction.
What is needed is a map to show where Bundleman actually walked and his route on the GE map in close up. It needs a close up of the front north eastern half of block A and then some of the road stretching to the east. I know peeps are having probs understanding. Just wish I could post GE maps and youtubes.
