The cite was in the third post in this thread. It is a fact that Gerry said for the whole duration of the holiday and his checks he never once stuck his head in the room.

Kate Mccann does not say the same, just that she was tempted to turn away because she heard no noise on that fateful night. It is at least PLAUSIBLE to assume it was not the only time she was tempted to do just that especially seeing as on that morning Madeleine had said  they were not there when they were crying. And no, it couldnt have been as Gerry asks was it when they were bathing them or putting them to bed. As they would have been there! On those occasions. ie if when told about waking and crying she would have wa ted to check more rigorously but she didnt seem to want to cos all was quiet

Does it mean go up to the apartment and listen at the bedroom door?

Does it mean go into the bedroom and peer into the darkness?

Does it mean go into the bedroom and put on the bedroom light?

Does it mean walk past the apartment and listen for noises?


All these activities would have been carried out at one stage or other by not only the McCanns but by several others.  The collective checked on the children?

Any checking that was done would have been visual and by the childrens respective parents.  Just listening is a by-product of the Smith sighting
