"He has lost his assets!". The bloodmoney that he made cashing in on another family's misery has quite rightly been frozen. Let's not forget that he has a lot of other debts. Or is that the McCanns fault as well?

So all in all, I would say that Amaral has been the architect of his own misfortune.
