Perhaps the window : once forced or open, there was no possible return. Though it turned out to be an impossible way in from the outside and an absurd way out. Could they say "actually Kate opened the shutters and window to look outside in the car park and I didn't realise, there was some confusion but we were in such a state..." ?
The McCanns claimed that they must have been 'watched' for days ... their Private Dick, Dave, confirmed as much when he pointed out the pimply man seen 'loitering' outside the apartment days before
Not only that, the McCanns even claimed this 'watching' abductor went as far as to enter their apartment the night before ... on a 'recce'
Here's the thing though ... when he did his 'recce' the night before, he apparently used the unlocked patio doors ( which, as an artful 'watcher' he would, of course, been aware presented easy access )
Yet on the night of the
actual abduction, he didn't bother using the clearly successful route he had used on his 'practice run' the previous evening ... and elected instead, to break in through the window
Nah ... if this was an abduction, then that window wouldn't have been opened at all ... there was simply no
NEED for it to have been ( it wasn't used used for entry or exit afterall, as forensics have proven )
That was definately the Columbo mistake
