Thanks for all your posts Anna; very helpful.

Very interesting today. Nel has just opened up on Oscar and I like his initial broadside, getting Oscar to admit he killed Reeva and is responsible for her death. Being a narcissist, I think Oscar's natural reaction will be to stand up to Nel. Should be fascinating!

You are welcome Tim.

Reeva's head exploded just like the watermelon.

"She wasn't breathing" he recalled the other day.

Yeah? No sh*t Oscar.

What a ridiculous man he is. "My life is at stake here". I liked Nel's comment to this

So Oscar is trying to get off completely by not even admitting he shot at a perceived intruder! He knows the penalty for culpable (reckless) homicide can be severe so he is sticking to 'the gun went off accidentally' story!  I think OP has been badly advised .... he really should admit he shot thru the door at what he thought was a deadly threat to himself and Reeva. Any other version is just ridiculous!

Amazon you were right about Nel .... he takes no prisoners. I thought Nel's posting of the photo of Reeva's head wound was shocking but at the same time a good move. (Reeva's family had been pre warned). The world should see the effects of that vicious Black Talon ammunition Oscar used ..... everyone can now imagine how Reeva suffered being hit in the hip and arm with those vile bullets before the fatal headshot!

And how that poor girl must have been screaming in pain and utter terror!

Go get that guilty man Harry Nel!

I was supposedly 'working' from home yesterday but I must confess it wasn't a very fruitful day as I got somewhat side tracked by listening to the above!

I was wondering if there had been other 'break-ins' in the neighbourhood and if so whether any violence was involved?  OP made ref yesterday to a neighbour being broken into but it sounded pretty low key.  I know SA can be a violent place but are celebs/those perceived to be wealthy targeted in their homes?  The property was in some sort of gated community?  So I'm assuming the residents either had security or it wasn't deemed necessary?  Surely if he felt vulnerable he had the resources to have on-site security/a bodyguard?

Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

I came across this still today which was taken while the TV link was suspended.

Note a grinning Pistorius directed at Prosecutor Nel!

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Yes John, it does appear so, but I think he is smiling at the white haired person behind the computer screen and Oscar's talking attracted the attention of Nel and the chap behind Nel. It would be a bad thing if he was grinning at Nel, unless of course Nel was telling him he was about to ask for adjourn.

I know it has to happen, but this whole trial is appalling me.

If Oscar did accidentally shoot Reeva ... and we dont know yet ... then to have to go thru the abrasive interogation that he is being subjected to is mind bogglingly cruel, imo.

It feels like the treatment that Blacks used to get when Apartheid was prevalent.

Someone that I used to work with bragged about it  8)><( and then laughed.

She was some sort of official and she used to command the black man "Come here, Boy".  Then she or her hubby would smack him hard across the face ... both sides, just so he knew his place ... before he even opened his mouth  ......................  Nazis.  Fascists.  Bullies, I hate them

The prosecution lead lawyer seemed to be using a similar but watered down version of the same  technique.  The way he addressed Oscar was disgusting imo
.
As to guilty of premeditated murder, we dont KNOW yet

I know this case has to happen, but surely it can be done in a civil manner?

Thank God the world is watching !

I totally disagree with every word you wrote! Even if OP is telling the truth (as if!) to fire those vicious bullets through a locked door is beyond doubt culpable homicide in my opinion! Those Black Tallon bullets chosen by OP are designed to cause as much hurt and pain as possible ..... to kill! Even if it was a burglar/attacker there is no justification!

Look what he did to Reeva, for god's sake, and you think his ludicrous story shouldn't be attacked? Aaawwww poor Oscar! And quite how you bring racist issues into this case is beyond me!

The World is watching and in the South African Gerrie Nel is being lauditted ..... and rightly so!

With greatest respect to you Sadie, it is my opinion that OP has been given free rein to defend himself by the court.
He has, of course, tried to paint himself in the best possible light as is his right and has spent a lot of time to do so.

It is now his turn to be interrogated thoroughly, and to have his actions and the statements he has made investigated in the minutest detail.
That is the duty owed by the prosecution to Reeva Steenkamp who suffered a horrendous death at his hands.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....
