Don't change the topic. You claimed that the Ocean Club tried to dealy calling the police. I proved you otherwise.

Sorry but you proved nothing.

Something more meritorical, maybe? A statement supporting your thesis the OC staff was delaying the phonecall to the police? Anything?

Matthew Oldfield rogatory 9 April 2008
i actually went down the route to where she would have gone for Nursery drop off, which his back to the, to the main reception essentially, so I went down that route looking for her at that time and I asked the reception to phone the Police, and that must have been about five past, it’s difficult to know what time it was at that time, but maybe about ten past ten, five past ten, ten past ten”.
4078 “Quite quick then?”
Reply “Yeah, sort of pretty much, you know, straight away, erm, I think it was only, but then it was a kind of, it was surreal when you got there, I said, you’ve got to phone the Police, you know, a child’s been taken, and they went, oh no, she’s probably just sort of woken up and he thought she’s probably sort of wandered off or something like that and you thought, yeah, maybe you’re right, maybe you’re right, erm, can you please, it was sort of, it was kind of, it was sort a weird kind of lack of urgency, you know, he’d ring, but you had to sort and stand there and say, ring now, ring now, so I don’t know if they rang at that point, but certainly, erm, you know, I certainly asked them to, about perhaps sort of maybe about ten past ten maybe. Erm, then we went back up to, or I went, because I was on my own, I went back up to the, erm, to the apartment and it was just obvious that she wasn’t in the apartment, but we were still sort of just milling about on the street, everybody was just running around just sort of trying to, you know, sort of search nearby roads. - See more at: http://madeleinemccann.org/the-first-searches-0304-may-2007/#sthash.doVrNACB.dpuf

This is from a OC staff statement which proves that they started their 'procedure' before the police arrived.. this is matching Matthew Oldfield account..

Leanne Danielle Wagstaff, Nanny in the Baby Club, Mini Club and Toddlers1/2

On 3rd May at about 22.20 she was informed by her colleague Amy Tierney that Madeleine had disappeared, a fact which led to the initiation of the “Missing Child” procedure which consists of dividing various areas of the resort up between different employees in order to proceed in the search for the missing child.

Accordingly, she explains that at about 22.25 this procedure was begun with the resort being divided into three separate areas, the northern zone, the central zone (the rest of the resort area) and all the paths and roads that made up the resort and ended in P da L. For this purpose the witness mobilised and initiated the procedure with 5 employees from the resort who, in turn, were helped by different individuals (other employees, tourists, residents) during the search.

Later, she is not sure at what time, the local police arrived at the resort, took stock of the incident and began the respective measures for this type of situation.

And what were they supposed to do? Stand there and do nothing? You blame them for searching? Seriously?

Had any of the group ever actually used a listening service at any MW resort anywhere?

Of course they have.
The group of McCanns friend reportedly used it in Greece.
I've seen an article many years ago discussing the 'listening service' that 1000s if British families use at holiday resorts abroad.
Just google it, many posts about this on mumsnet

I see a lot of blaming the holiday company here which I think is unfair, so I am checking what the actual truth is.
Just curious to know which individuals of this group had themselves ever used an MW listening service anywhere?

Another question. The 2006 Greece trip some of this group went on. Which Mark Warner resort was it?

I suppose if you had a child that didn't settle and cried a lot, a listening service would be getting in touch all the time.

Yes, and I think listening services now have two way radios.
BTW sorry, my post you replied to, it looked like it was me talking, but it was actually a quote from one of the rogatory statements.

The vacation of three of these four couples to Greece in 2006 was definitely not to a Mark Warner resort at all

Actually I am withdrawing that post of mine which you responded to, as it may be wrong.
However I am completely sure that the shared 2006 vacation of three of these couples to Greece was to a resort nothing to do with MW, it was a resort owned by a different company.

Russell O'Brien statement:

The deponent clarifies that, when they were on holiday in Greece via a booking with Markwarner, they verified that they had available a type of service called “baby listening”, clarifying that it consisted of leaving the children asleep, at home, while the parents went out to dinner, with the checking of the children carried out by nannies, who would listen close to the room windows, to hear if the children were crying, immediately informing the parents, if there was a problem.
He explains that Markwarner makes this service available in Greece, but that in Portugal it is not—a fact that they came to know when they made their bookings.

Yes ROB and JT are the only couple who I could find indication had actually used a MW listening service.
