From the screening of the videos, referred previously, done when the dogs were working, some doubts arise. We don't want and we can't take the place of the trainer, we only wish to alert, with this paragraph, to some facts, that according to us, need further clarification.

If the dog is trained to react when he detects what he is looking for, why, in most of the cases, we see the dog passing more than once by that place in an uninterested way, until he finally signals the place where he had already passed several times'

On one of the films, it's possible to see that 'Eddie' sniffs Madeleine's cuddle cat, more than once, bites it, throws it into the air and only after the toy is hidden does he 'mark' it (page 2099). Whys didn't he signal it when he sniffs it on the first time'

Apart from all that was said about the dogs, we must also take into attention the results of the forensic analysis that was performed by the experts on the Scientific Police Laboratory on the day immediately after the facts, and already mentioned where no vestige of blood was found.

PJ Inspector Dias.

You'll not see the part I underline in any extant video footage of the inspection of the villa now floating about the internet ...

One must also question WHY Duarte Levy or whichever other McCann sceptic it was decided that the footage of Eddie throwing cuddlecat in the air was deemed not suitable viewing for the rest of us...any ideas, doubters?

The theme of this thread does open up wider questions:

In the "Levy" video of the dog search of the McCanns appartment, there appears to be another person videoing, who I take to be a police photographer.

Who took the video which appeared under the copyright of Levy?

The case was under Judicial Secrecy - so how did Levy get his paws on the video?

It seems that Joana Morais is a chum of Amaral

And Levy was her lover

What is the agenda here?

I note that question is addressed to doubters.

I have a thought.

But I'll stay stm for now.

This whole business of Levy and The Dog Videos is extremely suspect in more ways than one.  Was Levy there?  I doubt this somewhat.
Was the other person filming doing it for Martin Grime, or did he just get copies from The PJ?

How could Levy apply Copyright if all he did was to edit out the bad bits?  Which he undoubtedly did.  Levy's Videos went a long way towards influencing Public Opinions since they were the first that we saw.
So how did he get hold of them?  And why was it necessary to edit them?  Who organised that?  Who was the other person filming?  Was this even legal?

The tapes circulating on the internet are clearly doctored, and have the name "Duarte Levy" which should ring alarm bells even in the most dedicated "anti".

I have no doubt there will be an official, unedited tape (much longer of course and showing the true sequence of events), with proper date and time stamps and where the provenance is certain.  (if you look at one of the Levy tapes of the appartment search there is another video camera being used, by what looks like an official)

And it is possible that this is one of the reasons why the McCanns have been released from their arugido status and are apparently no longer persons of interest to the enquiry as far as the PJ and NSY are concerned.

Meanwhile, the Levy tapes will continue to be trotted out as "evidence" by gullible posters who fondly imagine that conclusions can be drawn from them.

There is only so much that can be faked when using video and whatever anyone thinks the footage itself is real as were the alerts, no faking there.
De troothe has the annoying habit of coming to the surface just when you least expect it!!

Je ne regrette rien!!

Another feature of the video of the inspection of the villa that has long disgusted me (on several levels) is prolonged, close-up video footage of boxes of antii-Parkinsonian medication taken by Kate's father.

Why?

What was the point?

To reinforce the business about some 'link' between Madeleine's (in some quarters) assumed death and drugs-overdose?

Kate's father arrived after Madeleine had been abducted, so chances of Madeleine taking anything like that were/are zero!

Come off it Angelo.  In order to get a realisitic picture you need to see the whole thing - not a video edited to tell a particular story.  There is a world of difference between an alert on the first pass and an alert on the tenth.

Does the provenance of these videos cause you any concern?  Copyright Duarte Levy, erstwhile lover of Jaoana Morais, who is a friend and ardent supporter of Amaral, who had a very commercial interest in painting the McCanns as black as possible - very helpful for book sales.

The whoe thing stinks.

There still is video on YouTube which shows cuddlecat being unceremoniously lifted out of toybox and flung onto the floor, this being one of them.

Video: Eddie's inspection of McCann's villa.

Methinks the whole thing was heading the way of The Cipriano Case.  The PJ thought that if they could convince enough people then they would be bound to win a conviction.  Hence the rush to have The McCanns made Arguidos, and to release dodgy videos of the dogs, among other things.
Amaral still hadn't grasped that he wasn't going to get away with it on suspect evidence.
He would have written a book no matter what happened.

There is no video footage of Eddie literally and physically playing with the toy.

That is what has been edited out.

The cock-up has been mitigated by editing.

By I agree it's still bad enough as it (now) appears.

In fact there is an entire thread dedicated to this with photos which will never be removed from the internet.

You are right.  You can even catch where it was edited out.

What did Martin Grime think he was playing at?  He obviously saw what Eddie did with cuddle cat, and then produced it as though something amazing had been found.
And how many times did he point to that cupboard before the dog showed any interest at all, and not even in the right place.
Hardly scent accumulation, was it.  Shit, I am feeling sick.
