There are cultish elements in many supporters' not sure what to call it, "position"? Nothing said can make them think outside the box. IE There is always an "innocent explanation" for everything. Hang on, Ive heard that somewhere before, I do believe it was from their spokesman, Clarence Mitchell. Now, for starters, he wasn't there, so how he can with all honesty state that, without telling us why, is a bit of a mystery.
I know for a fact that many people who doubt the Mccanns, rightly or wrongly, are a bit more open minded.
And of course there are in betweeners.
The combination of the Mccanns actions in so many respects and the shelving of the case and despite the reopened enquiry has lead us where we are today, which, frankly,is no further than 2007
Also it didn't help the Mccanns when they wouldn't answer interview questions straightforwardly over the years, which as an innocent couple they had no reason not to, their desire to control everything from the very start went against them
