If the ransom note was correct, then three people was involve with the crime.
The ransom note stated that the home and family would be monitor before, during and after the crime.
The range profile is set at 475 feet.

What could be used to monitor the family from a distance?

Beaver hair was found on Jonbenet hands and was not source to the Ramsey's home.

The killer had a out doors background. He uses a high power Spotting scope.

The UV ForensiTORCH operates at a frequency of 395nm (+/- 5nm). This is an ideal waveband for locating items of forensic interest. No special barrier goggles are required to view any fluorescence, but it is recommended that UV protective goggles be worn for general eye protection.

The ransom note printed S. B. T. C. at the end of the note.

The question is, what does this stand for?

Our profile predict that the killer left clues to who he is. It's like a game he was playing.

Profile:
The killer travels on foot, bike and bus. The travel with a back pack. He enjoys rock climbing and walking the trails.
He sleeps in a tent and know how to stay warm by tucking his two white blankets tight to his body at night to stay warm. It just like the Indians did with their child out on the trails, like a papoose. He knows how to tie knots when he is climbing high off a cliff. This rock climbing makes him fearless just like committing a crime in a house with the family asleep.

He has learn to carry small bills like $20.00 because he does not want to bring back coin change, this is added weight and will cause noise out on the trails.

He know that he may need help out on the trails and some times to place a call to check in with family. A cell phone was not a option back in 1996 and also the distance location of cell towers. So he know how to connect to phone line wires out on the trails. He uses the Red and the Green wires. In the crime scene he painted a GREEN strip on JonBenet chin with paint from the paint tote and with ink, a RED smiley face on her hand. He uses his own phone hand set to connect to phone lines when he can to place a call FREE on his travels.

Boulder CO and other areas in the parks have phone boxes that he can easily tap into using his phone hand set to make a call. He only connect to the Red and Green wires.

He also knows that the basement of houses is wear the phone line connection are made to a house, this is called the phone line block. The basement is a place that is very well known to him and he fill at home in the basement.
Most houses do not have the alarm wired to the basement windows and some time the doors. Easy in and a easy out and it will be warm and dry. He knows all about wires and wear they are.

Phone box:

S.B.T.C. may be stamp on his phone hand set that he keep with him in his back pack.
Southern Bell Telephone Company.

This was one of two items very importance to the killer to complete this crime. He added this information to the end of the ransom note as a clue.

The other was used to monitor the house and the family for days or weeks before the crime, The spotting scope Victory brain.

S.B.T.C.
Victory

Note, he may have also left this clue in the form of some items place on the kitchen table that the Ransom family did not know how it got there.

A Silver spoon wall place in a bowl of fresh cut pineapple, next to this was a used tea bag place inside a glass drinking cup.

S = Silver spoon
B = Bowl
T = Tea bag
C = Cup

A small black child metal ball bat is kept in his backpack for protection out on the trails. No gun permit is required.
A black child metal ball bat was found at the crime scene and was not source to the Ramsey's family.

The ransom note call was to be place between 8 and 10 AM. One of the yellow emergency phone boxes located up in the hills could have been used for this call, just tap the phone box using the Red and Green wires and this line if trace by police would ID the location to a call box up in the mountain. No person's name connected to this phone line if the police was to check it out.

S. B.  T.  C. was printed at the end of the ransom note.

Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company was the Bell Operating Company serving the states of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina prior to the divestiture. Southern Bell began 1879 as The Atlanta Telephonic Exchange and was based in Atlanta. It changed its name to Southern Bell.  Southern Bell also operated in Charleston and other parts of West Virginia from 1883 until 1917, when The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of West Virginia took over operations.

The Ramsey's move from Atlanta Georgia to Boulder Co

This was printed in the ransom note:
"Use that good southern common sense of yours."

Patsy Ramsey was from the state of West Virginia.

Southern Bell, originally incorporated in New York, was reincorporated in Georgia in 1983 as SBT&T Co. The original Southern Bell was then merged into SBT&T Co., at which point that company was renamed Southern Bell. Since BellSouth, the new owner of Southern Bell and South Central Bell upon the divestiture of AT&T, was based in Georgia, it was more practical to have Southern Bell incorporated in the same state. Southern Bell was renamed BellSouth Telecommunications until It was merged into AT&T in 2006.

Southern Bell Telephone Company Building

The Southern Bell Telephone Company Building, now known as the AT&T Communications Building, is the main telephone exchange for downtown Atlanta. It is located at 51 Peachtree Center Avenue, on the northeast corner of Auburn Avenue.

The killer take JonBenet to the basement.

Our profile predict that the killer has a art background.

New research from Northwestern University provides an explanation for why artists need such solitude.

It's a matter of attention.

In other words, people who were less able to ignore distractions were more likely to do great creative work.  Sensitivity, so the argument goes, drives creative achievement.

The killer enter the Ramsey's home hours before the family came back from a Christmas dinner. He writes the ransom note before the crime in a location and condition that he needs.
Ransom notes require a certain quiet, a solitude that is all the more valuable for the way it can be achieved in public or other locations.

Solitude is a state of seclusion or isolation, i.e., lack of contact with people. It may stem from bad relationships, loss of loved ones, deliberate choice, infectious disease, mental disorders, neurological disorders or circumstances of employment or situation.

The killer's profile:
The quality or state of being alone or remote from society.
He enjoyed the peace and solitude of the woods and the trails.
He travels on foot, bike and bus with a backpack.
He walk on the trails with Hi-Tec hiking shoes.
The killer may have a neurological disorder called MS.

When the killer was a child, he may have used the basement as a place of solitude in his troubled life.

People are habits of patterns.

The above picture show us Patsy's pattern of placing items at the bottom of the back steps hours before she would leave on a trip so she would not forget some items that she wanted to take with her.

Patsy told the Boulder police that she found a ransom note near the bottom of the back stair. She said she step past the papers or to the right of the papers that was spread across one step. When she step to the main floor, she turn around to take a closer look at what was on the step. The tape interviews show us she turn to the LEFT to look at the papers on the step.

This support that the three page ransom note was laid out from the center post toward the center of the step. This gave her room to step to the outside area of step three and not step on the ransom note paper. Police said there was no foot print found on the ransom note.

She thought the note was left there by the house keeper because she had in the past left messages their before when she needed some thing importance. The house keeper wanted to borrow some money to pay some bills. These papers left on the back steps was a pattern of the house keeper for many years, These notes from a note pad place on the back steps could be monitor from the outside through the kitchen glass service door for weeks, months or years because this is a known pattern. The place of interest is the South side of the neighborhood.

Boulder police did not believe Patsy's statement, and said that the ransom note was a fake. They said they have perform testing walking down the back steps and could not step over the pages spread out on the back step with out stepping on the paper as prof that she was not telling the truth. Patsy's story of how she found the ransom note had never change. The crime scene support her statement as fact.

Lets look at what happen that morning.

People are right handed or left handed. People also are right foot or left foot when walking down a step. We use a pattern of choice when we do many things. The foot we use to make the first step will be the same each time we walk down a step, it's one of our every day pattern. One foot is stronger that the other and this will cause a person to walk in a large circle when lost.

If I ask you to stand very close to a brick wall on one foot, you would pick the foot farthest away from the brick wall. This is to stay in balance, the idea all so applies to stepping on a spiral stair system, the rail is like the brick wall. Walking down or up a set of steps uses one foot at a time, and the handrail act like the brick wall for support.

The first foot to step on a spiral step design is to place the first step farthest away from the hand rail for balance.

Any good step design divides the number of steps into a equal amount. The first step is the same height as the next step. The maximum rise in a step design is 8 inches. The Ramsey's back step has 12 pie shape steps made of metal. From the second floor down to the main floor the distance is 104 inches and it takes 12 steps to get to the bottom floor. This step design has 13 riser of 8 inches high, or a total of 104 inches from floor to floor. 13 X 8 = 104 inches. 12 steps, and 13 risers.

The third step up from the bottom floor is 24 inches above the main floor. The round step design makes each step a pie shape with a connecting center post to support the stair system.

When a person walk up or down to a spiral round steps design, they create a pattern to what foot they will use first to step on the first step. Going up can be a diffident foot than going down. This is the person balance patterns.
The starting foot used most of the time is the farthest foot from the hand rail.

Videos have shown us that Patsy uses her left foot when stepping on the first step down. Knowing this pattern about Patsy, we can predict the location of her foot on step three bottom from the bottom. We must count the number of steps down to the third step to see witch foot step on that tread and this will show us her foot imprint location. Did she step on the ransom note or step to the outside of the tread missing stepping on the paper with her shoe.

Starting from the top of the stairs, step one start with her left foot, step two is her right foot, Step 10 is her right foot. This mean that her foot would be to the very outside location of the tread and would not step on the ransom note.

Boulder police tried this many times and that person did step on the edge of the ransom note, their test was use to support that Patsy was telling a lie. The test person should have started from the very top of the steps than starting from the middle of the steps to save time. This mistake in their testing supported that Patsy could not step past the note with out stepping on the paper. Remember, people are rule by patterns. Having patterns in our lives makes room for our brains to hold more information with out overloading the brain. Every person creates their own patterns so the Boulder police test person must start the test at the very top of the spiral stairs as did Patsy that day.

When SPST is closed, you are in talk mode; when you lift the switch-hook on the “test set” phone, you will get a dial tone as if you were a standard extension of the line you are on. You will be able to dial out and receive calls. When the SPST is opened, the resistor and capacitor are no longer shunted, and they become part of the telephone circuit.

When you lift the switchhook on the test set, you will not receive dial tone, due to the fact that the cap blocks DC, and the resistor passes less than 4 mA nominally (far below the amount necessary to saturate the supervisory ferrod on ESS or close the line relay on any other switch).

However, you will be able to silently monitor all audio on the line. The cap reactance + the phone’s impedance insure that you won’t cut the signal too much on the phone line, which might cause a noticeable change (..expedite the shock force, SOMEONE’S ON MY LINE!!). It’s also good to have a VOM handy when working outside to rapidly check for active lines or supervision states.

Line from the ransom note:
"If we monitor you getting the money early, we might call you early to
arrange an earlier delivery of the money and hence a earlier
delivery pickup of your daughter."
