IMO the idea that the only way to search is for the McCanns to keep making trips to Portugal is ridiculous - and  is the least productive and the most wasteful use of resources.      It also directly contradicts the expert advice that the best way to 'search' is to keep the child's profile as high as possible for as long as possible in the public eye as that gives them the best chance of being found.

However, Kate has made several trips back to Portugal.   Please provide a cite that none of those trips involved physical searching on her part.

Had one or both returned to the Luz area and taken part in a search they would have gained so much support and respect from locals but they chose not to instead farming out the search to criminal entities like Metodo and Oakley.

I somewhat doubt that Stephen would encourage his children or grandchildren to behave like this.

Indeed.

I would never encourage anyone to do what the mccanns did.

Absolutely right.

OK. So no empathy towards the twins, either?

Not really. Its not as if empathy will improve the situation they find themselves in.

That doesn't deserve the courtesy of a reply.

I totally agree Faith, if anyone else were to use them in such a manner undoubtedly there would be complaints.

It should be pointed out that all the articles are based on the initial interview which Kate McCann gave to the Sun newspaper.

The McCanns are shamelessly exploiting their remaining children in my opinion.  It's all very well keeping the twins in the loop but using them in such a manner is surreal.

hardly surprising really.....do they really care what happens to them ....or are they to wrapped up in there own importance to care...

leaving them in the first place says it all to me

they did;t care then ...they don't care now

Their last admitted search was the morning after the night she disappeared.

I suggest you read Angelo's post again.      Or alternatively perhaps you can provide evidence that at NO time during Kate's several  visits to Portugal over the last few years has she ever spent any time 'searching' for her daughter.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.
