Obviously the prosecution case wasn’t strong enough to convince the jury in the first trial. Let’s hope that if he’s guilty the evidence is stronger this time and a conviction is secured. Of course as we know from the case of a certain McCann supporter caught with indecent images even if convicted there’s no certainty that he’ll receive a custodial sentence.
So if a child is led away from her parents and reports that she was given something that tasted funny and waa subsequently sexually abused, and the person who took her admits he had her in his flat for two hours and proffers some
lame excuse about trying to reunite her with her parents but doesn’t call the police once during that time, you don’t think that’s enough evidence?? Why are you not outraged by this as someone who frequently laments the low conviction rate for rape and sexual offences and as a warrior for justice for little children?
