He?s had ample opportunity to put his side of the story to the press in exchange for large sums of money (presumably). I wonder why he has not yet done so? We were told he was on track to becoming extremely rich what with the interviews, the movie rights not to mention the legal action against everyone from little old me to HCW, but not a [Name removed] bird yet. Perhaps he?s just getting his ducks in a row first.
This must be the legal impasse of disclosure at play here.
You've got CB being counseled / advised to offer nothing without being arrested on the one hand, and HCW unwilling to disclose his evidence for fear of CB and his legal council creating a narrative to fit the disclosed evidence.
CB can't really overplay his hand a take action against anyone without disclosing all details and proof of his alibi, etc and HCW can't risk arresting him with what is clearly a weak case.
It all feels unprecented, probably due to the enormity of the case and HCW's judicial superiors are obviously reluctant to press the button for fear of losing the most high-profile case in their post war history.
It's not an ideal position, but it does at least, serendipitously, have CB fearing for his life and living in bushes.
