No, they dont look cropped, Kizzy!
The photo was taken on the 16th June, 44 days after the disappearance, so now all his accusers need to do is prove that Gerry had them with him on holiday.  A fuzzy photo of some indistinguishable clothes on a bed simply isn?t proof.

OK, how about this then, Vertigo! Was anyone ever asked what Gerry was wearing on the night of the disappearance? eg,. the Tapas 7, the waiters, the police etc, after all, they saw Gerry for hours that evening!

Is there any evidence the McCanns went clothes shopping soon after Madeleine disappeared?

It must be exceedingly hard work continually trying to prove that The McCanns are guilty.
I guess it keeps the forum from being absolutely dead,  linking Bruckener is a dead rubber.

It appears that despite being accused by Mr Smith, the police cba?d to follow up with a single solitary question to any one of the witnesses who saw Gerry that night to ask them what he?d been wearing, but then they didn?t need to as most of those witnesses put him at the Tapas bar at the time of the sighting.

Gerry had been back to their home in England between the 3rd May and mid June and almost certainly would have brought a new set of clothes back with him.  The McCanns were in PdL for 4 months and it is inconceivable that they lasted that entire period in the week?s worth of holiday gear they brought with them.  In fact, if you look at the many thousands of photos of them taken over this period it?s quite obvious that they acquired more clothes during their time there.

Right, so all you need to do now is prove Gerry brought buttoned trousers from home after Madeleine disappeared, then we can rule him out as being Smith Man. Good luck with that.

Yes, we never get far scrutinising the evidence against Brueckner because it consists of an alleged secondhand confession & nothing else. And Brueckner certainly doesn't tie in with the Smith sighting, not as well as Gerry does anyway.

The burden of proof as always lies with the accuser, not the accused.

In court yes. But we're not in court. You are trying to prove the McCanns innocent but we can't get past the Smith sighting. Predictably.

It's funny how the burden of proof matters when it comes to the McCanns, but where Brueckner is concerned, supporters seem to accept he is guilty based on the flimsiest of evidence & certainly not proof. No. Wolters said so & that's enough for the old women.

On the balance of probability I'd say it is proven the McCanns did it. Either that or there's an abductor out there who resembles Gerry, had the same trousers as him, who snatched Maddie & changed her pyjama top. Not very likely so that must mean the McCanns did it.

Martin Smith the man he saw didn't look like a tourist by the way he was dressed.

You don't seem to believe what Mr Smith says anyway, so how can you put any store in that statement ?

What does a person walking down the steps of a plane look like carrying a sleeping two year old.
