The media puts the focus on systemic racism that lurks in every public service discriminating against all the black people & hunting them down & killing them. When the leading cause of death for young black men is homicide, & the perpetrator is usually a young black man. This is the dystopian world that we live in today where White supremacy is the leading threat to all black people apparently.

The families of the Nottingham attack by Valdo Calocane are speaking at a press conference today & are highly critical of the NHS & other services that allowed the dangerous schizophrenic psychopath to remain in the community instead of a secure mental facility.

And I agree with them.  They were badly let down by numerous organisations and individuals.  And so was the perpetrator who should have been locked away in a secure mental facility where he could have been closely monitored and unable to cause such devastation.  I seem to recall he even begged to be resectioned as he knew he was going to do something terrible.  There should be a secure mental facility in every large town and several in every city because as someone who interacts with the general public on a daily basis I am shocked by the number of people I encounter with obvious mental health issues.  Most of them are completely harmless but I never ever drop my guard around them.  That said there?s probably not much I could do if they decided to stab me to death.

I'm not sure the dog whistles are confined to far right trouble makers anymore, Vertigo, many decent ordinary citizens are becoming increasingly concerned with the increasing presence of Islam in the UK.
It is called 'Islamophobia', which I presume means fear of Islam, which describes perfectly what many are now feeling. But fearing the rise of Islam and being 'Islamophobic' is now almost classed as being a crime!
That's right, is is almost a crime to simply 'fear' something!!! Not hate it, not threaten it, not attack anyone who follows it, simply fearing a religion is now a crime apparently??
Now, as I said, I don't know if the 'fear' of Islam [and lets get this crystal clear, many people do have a fear of Islam, but!!! will in no way break the law or persecute any individual over their fear] , yes, I don't know if the fear of Islam is actually an irrational phobia akin to the fear of the dark or spiders or whatever, but the years to follow will let us know the truth of the situation!
Is that fair enough, Vertigo?

Whatever, Joe.  People with irrational fears can get treatment for their phobias and should try and avoid reading/watching  the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and GB News imo, all media outlets that make a living from playing to and ramp up people?s fears and prejudices on a daily basis.

BTW if you really want something to be frightened about read Nuclear War by Annie Jacobsen.  It?s the most terrifying book I?ve ever read and it is all fact based and shows how we are all (ie the entire world) potentially just a few hours from complete annihilation.  You can stop worrying about Islam once you?ve read that and start worrying about North Korea instead!
