Who on this forum has actually physically searched for Madeleine ?

On this forum we hear a lot of bluster from certain parties about the PJ not 'properly' searching for Madeleine, which  is not true.

Now, how many on here have actually searched for Madeleine, that does not include typing on a keyboard.

For the record, I haven't , just like the vast majority of people around the world. I don't recall any foreign newspapers recounting tales of people searching around the world.

The mccanns of course, had a brief 'search' the following morning following the disappearance, and that was that.

Living in France I am always aware of the possibility that Madeleine could be in France, so I do bear this in mind when out and about.
But there are large areas of sparsely inhabited countryside where it would be quite easy to hide a child who actually lives a relatively normal life.  These areas would be impossible for me to actively search.

Let's look at 29th May 2007.
The PJ flew in Met phone experts to work on the huge amounts of phone data the PJ had already obtained. The PJ also did searches at Lagos Marina relating to 4 boats. And the PJ did much more too.

Meanwhile, the other search was concentrating on searching every nook and cranny of this object, in fact if you look carefully you can see a search operative emerging wearing a special top designed to radiate the excess heat generated by intensive searching. http://bit.ly/1WUbIbm

Has any other person working with the parents ever done real physical searching like this?

That is the reason why I asked what is the point of this thread.

I've observed a lot of hot air on this forum about 'searching'.

It is abundantly clear, even to the casual observer looking up the facts, that Madeleine was searched for extensively, no matter what the mccanns or some of their supporters have claimed to the contrary.

So jp, in the real world, when and how have you searched for Madeleine ?

It was a rather innovative idea, don't you think? Always a chance one might find a stray child at the Vatican, especially one with a name sounding like Magdalene.

Yes, and by putting up with the discomfort of borrowing a plane instead of taking a scheduled flight, the region around 30.000 feet could be searched more efficiently.

Meanwhile I think we should have a very special mention here for the numerous volunteers who spent day after day searching the surrounding countryside. And that includes Stephen Taylor and Colin Sahlke, who gave up their jobs and sold their possessions to go to PDL and search. I do hope they got a quick wave of thanks from the windows of the multi-million-dollar private jet as it flew off.

I seriously might have gone (actually considered it) to help the parents search the town and surrounding countryside but had not enough money for the air fare etc.
If I'd known a billionaire was making a jet available to the search I would have rung him to pick me up.

Sorry Stephen - First of all, I have never at any time suggested that the PJ did not do a very thorough job in searching for Madeleine. 

Secondly, I am not going to get involved in your "passive aggressive" games.

I have searched for Madeleine. Even in zones OG searched later.
