The most important myth (about cuddle-cat) is that Eddie 'scented death' on it; the most important facts , that he played with it, picked it up and tossed it in the air (without reacting) then (after the toy was hidden in a cupboard) 'reacted' (Grime insists!) to the toy.

Oh, and the fact that Grime (apparently) requested that the toy be forensically examined (it never was).

It just had to be higher than Madeleine could reach.  Not that high in other words.

Misty asked if the mirror shelf was a possible place that was being referred to, I said it cant be, its too narrow and the chld coukd have reached it easily, there were no high shelves in either bedrooms and apart from lori campbells little story there is nothng else in existence ...ergo a fabricated story

There were shelves in the wardrobes of the main bedroom that were beyond Madeleines reach.

Well, you will have to decide for yourself which journalist is lying, which witnesses are lying and why and take it from there....but I failed to see the whole point of the question...so, why does it matter where the stupid toy was found

And if kate mccann found it on a high shelf ie denotng an abductor why has she never said that anywhere ever

Quote
This important evidence could point to the fact that Madeleine was actually taken alive.
According to a report in the Sunday Mirror, Kate McCann knew instantly that Madeleine had been abducted when she saw that the toy had been moved from her sleeping daughter's arms and placed on a ledge way beyond the four-year-old's reach.
The paper quotes a police source as saying: "When Kate tucked Madeleine up in bed earlier in the evening she had the toy tightly in her arms as she did every night.
"So Kate was terrified when she spotted it had been left in a place too high for her to reach.
"Kate also noticed the window was wide open and the shutters jammed up.
"It was because of these things that she had no doubt Madeleine had been kidnapped and she ran out to scream for help."
There was no sign of DNA or fingerprints left on the toy.

Now it is tempting to think this is all in the same room but it clearly states elsewhere she did a quick search in all the rooms, so this is the summary of her findings to let her come to the conclusion "she had no doubt Madeleine had been kidnapped".

I'm sorry Bob but the Mail was misinformed and as a consequence published a false story...another myth.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.

How did you prove that? Did they retract that article?  Where is the proof or even hint that it was false?

I'd still like to see the proof that is was false.  Someone would have to say this.

Let's face it, all this little exercise has shown is how reporters can invent stories based on nothing more than hearsay and rumours in an attempt to sell their story at a time when most UK tabloids were paying a premium for Maddie stories.

Wasn't it interesting that the journalist wasn't identified in the Mail version but attributed the original story to the Sunday Mirror?
