No  point in continually asking the same question - when you have no intention of accepting the answers.

For the umpteenth time -  this forum is specifically designed for both 'sides' to discuss the Madeleine McCann case.    Why are you here if you object  to it so much - when as you keep pointing out - no-one is forced to read anything?

In my case it's nothing to do with caring about Kate and Gerry - it's because I care about justice, hate cruelty and don't like Kangaroo courts -  or people who gleefully delight in other people's misfortune.

Another reason is to refute the lies, myths and disinformation which continue to be peddled in this case - whether it be by the genuinely misinformed or by the just plain spiteful.

AIMHO

Couldn't agree more
It seems to be a crime to post in support of the parents of a child lost in tragic circumstances
I can't understand what drives people to be so nasty

There is not a single person on this forum who has objected to the ever-increasing police costs being incurred to try & locate a man who may well have got so drunk that he fell asleep in a rubbish skip & been subsequently crushed. There is not a single person who is saying "why don't the family accept it was his own fault so we shouldn't be spending public money trying to find his body?" There is not a single person who is objecting to the family having a Crowdfunding appeal to raise money for the family to continue the search. Why is that? What's the difference?

I think that's because he's a "hero" to so many, including those who support total freedom of speech & aren't patriotic.

Wasting tax payers money on the behest of America.

Thank you Cameron and May.

That was sarcasm by the way.

May and Cameron, of course , gave the go ahead for funding of OG.

Why are they 'infamous' in some circles, Angelo?

Their efforts to keep Madeleine McCann's profile in the public eye has been the most successful 'marketing ploy' of a missing child ever ... and that includes the Lindberg baby.

If Madeleine was indeed the victim of abduction as Scotland Yard and the Policia Judiciaria believe, I don't think their campaigning for Madeleine would sit well in that quarter.
Others should perhaps examine their consciences on that one.

There is lots of disagreement and debate about whether or not the McCanns were involved in their daughter's disappearance and that's fine. People are entitled to hold opinions and to discuss the case,

I can see no justification for dragging morality into the arguments, however.

You can have an option but no one is allowed to accuse the McCanns of any criminal activity on this forum
That would be libel

Nor should you. Your conscience is your business and no-one else's. You may never have heard of Mary Whitehouse. She had very definite ideas of right and wrong and campaigned for years trying to halt what she saw as Britain's moral decline. In other words, she tried to impose her personal morality on a whole nation.

Many people supported Mary's views. However, today's society is governed by those who have imposed their right to liberal morals which is at the root of many problems we now face.

Hasn't "sickened " me nor anyone I know.
Lots of things "sicken me to the bottom of my stomach" but certainly not the parents of a missing little girl.
.

Tell me Erngath, do you hold the McCann's responsible for failing to keep their children safe ?

Yes and there were all those people who felt slavery was acceptable
Opinions are not always right or moral
We certainly don't always have the right to express our opinions
All those hate preachers inciting suicide bombers
Do you support their right to opinion
Perhaps you do
