Perhaps not implicate .... but

 *%6^  ... some interesting things.

Sorry cant share.  Believe me, or not.  Your choice.
Does anyone remember when, IIRC, Robert Murat and his solicitor were talking about sueing someone?

Was it The Mccanns that he was talking about sueing?  I think it must have been well over 6 years ago, but I just can't remember the details.

Can you, Eleanor?

Given that he repaired PCs as far as I remember, the finding of anything on a PC in his house would first require working out if it was his. IMO
Can you please give a cite, because I thought that Sergey Malinka did all Roberts repairs and computer work for him.

Please correct me if I am wrong on this one.

He was an Estate agent at the time.
It was his computer - the police document had the serial number on it along with reference to the CC cleaner. He did later invest in a computer shop in Lagos, presumably with his compensation after suing the UK press.

Apologies, I was thinking of Sergei. Do you have a cite for the above?

I can verify what misty is saying.  Roberts estate agency, which IIRC he shared with Michaela was next door to Sergeys computer shop.

Sergey was supposed to have produced the necessary computer literature, ads etc. for Roberts Estate agency IIRC

I seem to remember reading that somewhere, but it was convoluted quotes.

I can't find the article I was looking for, in which Pagarate apparently lodged a suit against Jane for false identification, and there were vague allusions that Amaral confirmed it as he'd given testimony to that effect. Or something. That was ages ago, possibly back in 2008 from what is now a vague recollection.

There's this, but it's noises about suing Jane plus the T3, but it's from 2010.

Ah.. From somewhere else, which does seem to be from 2008):

Robert Murat Sues McCann Friends SOL

By Felícia Cabrita and Margarida Davim
26 July 2008
Thanks to Joana Morais for translation

Robert
Murat is going to prosecute two friends of the McCann couple for
perjury in a confrontation ordered by the judge. Also the Portuguese
State will be prosecuted, for allegedly "ruining his life". A
curiosity: in the thorough searches to his house, Roman ruins were
discovered.

Francisco Pagarete, Murat's Lawyer, does not know
the evidence that the English gave during the investigation. However,
he was present at the confrontation that - months after Murat had been
constituted as arguido - was done between his client, Rachel Oldfield
and Fiona Payne. The lawyer guarantees to SOL: "They lied in front of
us, with the clear intention of incriminating my client".

Pagarete
explains that, as soon as the case ends being under the secrecy of
justice, he is going to consult 12 thousand pages of the process to
find other evidences: "According to what I read in SOL, it was a
British journalist who did the first accusation to the English Police.
I will check if that is in the process".

In lieu of this I no longer hold him in the high regard I once did.

There is another reason, which I am unable to share, that disturbs me.

Dunno, Sadie.

I wouldn't be too happy, either, if I thought I'd been falsely accused. The thing is, the T3 were simply convinced that he was the person translating that night - which is hardly an accusation of criminal activity, so I'm not quite sure what Pagarate thought he could actually sue them for, but anyway.

Murat must have thought that Jane had positively identified him carrying what might have been Madeleine (particularly when Amaral kept insisting that she had) - and that's far more serious, for obvious reasons. However, as it seems to have been dropped, he may well have read her rog in the meantime and realised that she never did.
