It depends on whether Smithman is carrying a living girl or a dead child. My thoughts today is from reports given by Silvia Batista (who had spent hours observing the McCanns, and hence the PJ are thinking in terms of a dead child. - because "Kate wanted a priest" [Not her exact words].)
Are you thinking the abductor would take her out into deeper water and drown her or just to dump her dead body? That is possible. What I was meaning was to take a dinghy out to meet a larger boat that would abduct a child to another port very distant from PdL would be tricky on a windy night.
Like how would Madeleine get around to the Barcelona Marina by the 6th? You won't get there by dinghy.
No. I do not think that Madeleine is dead.
It would have been possible to take Madeleine by dinghy to a larger boat and then possibly to Barcelona, or even elsewhere.
A larger boat could have made it to Barcelona in the time. Someone plotted the route aeons ago, and it was possible.
No, I don't have a cite, but this is just my opinion.
