So why hasn’t Walls told us that ?

Do you know of any other case where the DCI doesn’t do the photo calls ? Four years and I can’t find one direct quote from her.  Maybe someone else can ?

No they haven't.
They (the Met and the PJ) have repeatedly told us the parents are not suspects so how come you seem to know they haven't been ruled out?

I doubt if the PJ have ruled the parents out.  They don't have any evidence but they have not finished looking either.  When I listen to what Pedro do Camo says I can't help thinking they still have the parents in focus.

How do you think they are focusing on the parents then?  What are they spending all their time and money doing if the parents are the chief suspects?

It’s not as if she’s a shrinking violet. Here she is informing the press regarding an ongoing investigation .http://news.met.police.uk/news/murder-investigation-launched-in-kilburn-244404

“DCI Nicola Wall said: "We know that the victim lived alone and her family who live in Italy last heard from her on 21 May. Officers attended her home address on 29 May following concerns raised by a neighbour and the decision was taken to force entry into the property.

"We have established that victim was in the Kilburn area on 22 May but we further need to understand her movements from this date onwards.

"Whilst enquiries are ongoing to establish the motive for the attack, it is considered likely that the motive is linked to the victim being a sex worker.

"I would urge sex workers in the London area to be extra vigilant at this time, we are working hard to identify the attacker but we urgently require their assistance. If you have any concerns about a recent client's behaviour, especially where threats or violence have been used do come and speak with us."

Surely it’s the DCI’s job to keep the public up to date with information regarding a case ? So why is she so quiet with regard to probably the biggest case of her working life ?

who knows.  Maybe she's convinced the parents are guilty and is playing the waiting game, waiting for one of them to crack.  In the meantime, what has this got to do with circumstantial evidence of abduction?

But we’ve been told that OG believe this is an abduction and the parents and friends are not suspects. So why is she not telling us this as her predecessor did before her ?

Well did you agree with me or not?  OK he is not that clear about anything in the longer interview but I suppose the PJ are letting MPS exhaust their investigation first, and then they can say what they want IMO and suspicion.

I've just given you the answer you want, I can do no more than that.

You have indeed and thank you for that. Does make you wonder though whether Rowley did the most recent interviews because he won’t be called to give evidence in court but as the senior investigating officer Wall will ?

It doesn't matter if I agree with you or not but I am asking you to consider how this investigation into the parents is being conducted, what the police are actually doing on a day to day basis, what the vast sums of money are being spent on?  Staking out the McCanns home? Wire-tapping?  Honey traps?  What?  Why, if the McCanns are chief suspects, have they not been recalled to Portugal and reconstituted as arguidos?  How many more years of merely sniffing round them are the police going to take before going in for the kill, and what would it take to precipitate such action, apart from a full confession from one or both of them, or their friends?

Presumably that would possible apply whoever they eventually take to court?
