I have had an update on their locations, perhaps a year ago, and none had strayed from Luz.

Quite why OG thought it was prudent to round up 3 locals who remained local is a mystery to me.

I don't have a problem with the fact that they were interviewed. How else could they have clarified pending questions?

I have a problem with that leaky fan that splashed them all over the media.

There's interviewed and there's arguidoed.

I have no reason whatsoever to believe that the widespread media attention was due to one leaky fan.
What's up, old man?

There may have been more than one fan.

I'm not sure whether any of the temporary arguidos requested the status or whether it was imposed.

What do members think the Met have been actively working on and spending so much money on for the last few years?

A shedful of manhours collating documents.
A not inconsiderable bill for translations.
Manhours associated with reading all the documents.
35 bodies full time for a year will see off £2.4MM in payroll alone.
"Playing at Airwolf" a few years back probably came to a pretty penny.

Only a presumption ... but possibly airborne surveys of the terrain of Luz at least one of which used a Portuguese military plane.

And a good example of the ridiculing of Op Grange which is apparently perfectly acceptable on this forum but don't even think about dissing the PJ in a similar manner!

I agree.
In my opinion the use of aerial surveys in police work is standard practice.

I think OG is doing just as good a job as the PJ.

So what do you think they were doing "playing Airwolf" then?

Not sure why my answer elicited that response.

You think they are doing a good job, and I was curious to know where you thought their aerial sweep over PdL and digging and looking down wells fit in with your theory that the McCanns are the chief suspects?

Can you cite Faith’s theory being that the McCann are chief suspects?

Also aerial sweeps, digging and looking down wells is in no way proof of them not being suspects. IMO.

Why so?
Do you have a problem with OG using aerial surveys to show up potential depressions where freshly dug soil has settled and self compacted ? This possibly would not be noticeable at grade level so colly'epters or drones are a good idea.
Do you think my comment about it costing a pretty penny is inaccurate then or that OG did not spend money on the aerial survey?  Your post to which I responded  was after all about costs, my response was about costs.

Perhaps if you'd used the phrase "using aerial surveys" instead of "playing at Airwolf" I wouldn't have found the comment so disparaging, as clearly that was your aim.
