And how unlucky for the McCanns that that is the story the Sun ran with.

Imagine you are hoping to hear more about Madeleine’s disappearance and all you get is her mother’s whinging about the effect of her child’s abduction on her sex life. Absolutely appalling.

How would Kate know in advance that the book she was writing would be serialised in the Sun?  How is what she wrote in any way, shape or form "titillating"?   Is "not being in the mood" titillating to you?  Now if she was describing the reverse you might have a point...

I believe that while the book was being written the deal was struck. If the sections weren’t meant to titilate why use them so prominently ? Surely there was other sections that could have been used.....sections that were actually about Madeleine.

The truth is sex sells...especially in rags like the Sun....and the McCanns sold their most personal feelings for a few seckels.

Do you have a cite for a deal being struck while the book was still being written?  Serialised implies there was more than one excerpt of the book published in the Sun over several days, therefore the passage you found so titillating couldn't have been the only one used.  Any idea what the other excerpts were?

The Sun serialised Kate's book over 6 days, starting on Saturday 5th May 2011.  The excerpt that gave Faithlilly such a fit of the vapours appeared on the 10th May, there were 5 other headlines, here are 3 of them.  It wasn't all about the (lack of) sex, no matter what some would have you believe!
