I never claimed there was. IMO drugging a child with Phenergan in the absence of travel sickness, hayfever or other allergy because you didn’t want the child to wake (and cry) whilst you went out followed by a fatal accident  could possibly explain why you might want to conceal that accident. Even more so if you acquired the drugs from work, IMO.

how would they acquire those drugs from work...a doctor was in serious trouble recently for trying to obtain antibiotics on prescription

I have this recollection of dentists getting high on Nitrous Oxide  https://www.omicsonline.org/proceedings/use-and-abuse-of-nitrous-oxide-in-dentistry-18089.html

I thought we’d agreed the accident couldn’t have happened while they were out owing to the time it takes for cadaver odour to develop?

It could have happened at shower time, IMO.

Are you saying Madeleine could have died while Kate was having her shower?  Would the twins not be aware of this then and say something?

To whom? Would they understand the concept of death at that age?

So Madeleine had an accident while Kate was in the shower and David Payne was enlisted to help provide an alibi, is that it?

Perhaps. But I doubt it was exactly that. IMO DP called round for the reason given (in his later account)

So he turns up for innocent reasons only to find Kate in a complete state having just discovered Madeleine dead and helps her cover it up?  Before Gerry has returned?

In that scenario the body still has to be hidden in the apartment till cadaver odour builds up.   Where would it be put?
