How Gerry came by that information we will never no.....JK...it was all part of the staging imo

Quite strange really, because they lost interest in the paedophile angle subsequently.

According to some, those who said the McCanns told them that the shutters were jemmied, smashed or broken misunderstood what they were told. Just like the interpreters misunderstood what they were told, or they weren't up to the job, or they misinterpreted on purpose. Is that 'looking at the evidence objectively'? In my opinion that's making excuses.
And yet you have decided it is strange or odd and seem to think there can be no other explanation apart from dishonesty.  How is that objective, pray tell?

Thanks for your honesty, though “feigned distress” is clearly just your opinion.  Perhaps having murdered her child in cold blood she was genuinely distressed at her actions, eh?

That's a bit of a moot point, considering, according to Grange it was definitely an abduction.

Really ?  Believing your daughter has been abducted by person or persons unknown rules out paedophilia from the equation in what way?

Perhaps providing a cite for your assumption might be in order.  TY
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

What’s with the “Swirly” reference?  Yes, I know exactly what you find amusng - the idea that Kate McCann expressed her distress by saying the situation felt unreal as related to Jon Corner, because you believe she is a liar and not someone genuinely distressed by the events of her daughter’s disappearance.  Now, consider for a moment that Madeleine WAS abducted (perfectly possible despite your assertions to the contrary) - is your amusement still justified?  Is it ever appropriate to find a mother’s apparent distress amusing?  And if it turns out she throttled Madeleine with her bare hands are her words still  worthy of a snigger?  You clearly think so.

As I understood it Jon Corner found it 'unreal' not Kate McCann. That's how Wonderfulspam interpreted it too; hence his comment;

Jon Corner said, about the abduction of MM...

"It doesn’t actually seem real."

However you wish to spin it, the net result is amusement at Kate’s expense and at those completely innocent members of the McCanns family and friends at the highly distressing situation they all found themselves in.  Spam has already admitted it anyway, at least he’s honest about it.   It’s entirely up to you if you wish to express your amusement at their expense and it’s entirely up to me to shine a light on it if I so wish.

The wonders of the English language.  The same sentence but entirely different meanings depending on the connotation one chooses to adopt.

Amaral understood exactly how to use Portuguese to do exactly the same, did he not.

Graham McKenzie was able to understand Gerry McCann quite easily;

Mr McCann was absolutely distraught telling the person receiving the call that he feared 'she (Madeleine McCann) had been taken by paedophiles'.
https://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/GRAHAM-MCKENZIE.htm

He mentioned the possibility that that she could have been taken by a paedophile
https://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/PATRICIA_CAMERON.htm

I think they were getting the gist, despite Gerry's distraughtness.

What parent of an abducted child wouldn't think it was a possibility she was taken by a paedophile?   What are you trying to say here?

I think what G-Unit is trying to say is that Gerry was desperately trying to persuade the police Madeleine had been taken by a paedophile when all along he knew her body was languishing under ten tonnes of Luz landfill.  Or something like that.

Did they?  Didn't know you had the ability to mind read.

Yes,   but when did the McCann's dispose of Madeleine's body that is the question.   No one could dispose of their child's body and then go off and eat dinner laughing and joking as if nothing had happened.  Anyone finding their child dead would be grief stricken.

I find that a ridiculous post... What evidence do you have thst they lost interest in the angle... I would think they still consider it a real possibility

I was beginning to get past my early certainty that Madeleine must have been taken by a paedophile and murdered. I was coming to realize that didn’t have to be the answer. [Madeleine]

She says it doesn't have to be the answer.... She is saying there could be other possibilities... That isn't what you claimed
