I think...based on the evidence...its quite reasonble to think there were errors due to transaltions in the statements. You disagree. Because of the way the staements were taken there is no way we can check. Thats it...Its down to opinion...but the evidence supports mistakes

Your evidence being Kate McCann's claims? Can you explain how the McCann's statements contradicted each other so clearly then? Both McCanns were quite clear about which door they used on 3rd May, so how could that be the result of error?

You seem to be assuming that the interpreters spoke broken English. Do you have evidence of that?

Doubly translated and taken at 11.30am the following morning after Matt had been up a great deal of the night.

I dont know what others think, but I am inclined to doubt that the PJ could have mustered up Portuguese volunteers to take statements whose translation skills were up to muster for legal documents.   Can you prove that the translater was up to translating for legal documents?

Maybe a certain lack of translation skills caused the document to be non verbatim, rather than straight from Matts mouth?   Difficulty in finding the right word etc.   Dunno.  Do you ?

So you are happy that it is Justice that such potentially bodged documents have been produced, are you ?

That's your idea of Justice ?

you are mking yet another assumption...my evidence,,,,anything that supports an assertion

translation is not an exact science...mistakes are o be expected

telegraph article from PJ source saying that they were looking at statements again due to the way they were taken

Articel by colin sutton saying there were bound to be mistakes

without the original english statements we just dont know...It certainly could be the result of poor translation

I've had 5 years of this propaganda, so plenty of time to think and assess.

I don't need a thinking cap.

My brain works perfectly well without artificial aids.

What colour is your thinking cap, Sadie?
What's up, old man?

Why dont you read back and re-assess Davels post.  No propanganda there; just facts.

BTW, I dont wear hats, except very occasionally a tin one, when the viscious lying propaganda starts flying

Anyway, what's colour got to do with anything ?    I am non racist

Matt's 4th May statement appears to have been translated by Angela Morado from the British Consulate.

I thought you knew the difference between evidence and opinions.

I do.. It appears you dont

Evidence... Anything which supports an assertion

An opinion from someone well informed can be regarded as evidence

Good try.

Well "Angela" begins with "A" , same as "Anna" and "Albym"

Taken from the actual file

Quote
52 to 57 Witness statement of Matthew David Oldfield 2007.05.04

TRANSLATION BY ANNA/ALBYM
01-Processo 01 Pages 52 to 57
01_VOLUMEIa_Page_52

If you read it carefully, I think that you will find that Angela was the INTERPRETER [/b]

For the differences between Translating and and Interpreting skills, I suggest the following explains it quite well and we all might benefit by reading it

So you were wrong about Angela being the translator, she was the interpreter, but it was a good try.

As I said before, Anna and/or Albym were the translators

Misunderstandings in communication are inevitable regardless of the language issues in this case.  Remember the two ronnies: four candles and fork handles!   8)--))
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

And of course the portuguese translator would have written down fork handles in portuguese but repeated back ....what sounded like four candles in english....and fork handles would be confirmed by the english speaker  with  a signature...if anyone follows that

OK, Angela Morado was the interpreter for Matthew Oldfield and David Payne on 4th May.
